NB: Trackwork is final, supports, terrain, colors, etc are all very preliminary
This is a ride I've been working on for a while. I've always been vaguely dissatifieds with all of the 250ft+ coasters that have been built....they're so spread out and not really all that intense. With this ride I had a couple of goals - I wanted lots of "action" - crossovers, near misses, hills that aren't quite perfectly straight. Despite spending much of the run at over 70mph I've included lots of low hills to keep the pacing tight!
This layout packs a ton of elements and SPEED into a compact (size/speed considered) terrain layout.
Stats:
Height: 335ft (390ft total height differential) Drop: 326ft @ 85 degrees Top Speed: 96mph Length: Over 9000ft Forces: -1.1 to +4.3 (4.7g in back seat) Inversions: 2
Signature Elements:
220ft Batwing, with airtime hump on the way up 190ft drop at 72 degrees off the MCBR, into a tunnel that dips well below ground 3.5 seconds of negative g, most of it UPSIDE DOWN
I'm sure the trims are there for a reason... Too many Gs = worn down wheels and painful Gs. Also I didn't see a batwing... But that's was really cool. First NL2 POV that actually made me sort of nervous.
