Yeah, I'd love to move to Ohio one day. Looks like you can get similiar thrills to VA there plus a lot more. Diamondback looks a lot like Apollo's Chariot, Raptor sounds on par with Alpengeist, theres actually a GOOD standup coaster there Mantis, everybody compares I305 to Millenium Force first thing when they think of a comparison. Maverick looks excellent, I've seen the footage and it looks like it has a lot of elements and that part where its a moving launch into a lot more rollercoaster track looks awesome. The Beast and Magnum are easily from what I read the 2 coasters that stand the test of time the best. You might think CP is overated, but from someone who hasn't been there, obviously you've probably heard it before, looks like the best theme park in America.

But I'm not the first to say that videos don't do I305 justice though. In fact, a lot of people say that. When I watched it I thought it looked boring and the only thing I thought it had going for it was the speed. I won't explain how incredibly wrong I was but lets just say you have to ride it and feel.

The problem with going to all these theme parks just to ride one ride though is I can't imagine ever being able to afford the gas, price of ticket, have the time to travel, rent a hotel, and visit all these theme parks just to get the experience of Voyage, or S:ROS. Just living in a good theme park area and visiting my good home parks sounds affordable enough for me. But, who knows, I might get rich one day and have a lot of time on my hands.

Oh yeah, I got a good experience and bad news for you. The first time I rode Grizzly at night, it was excellent. Now, at that time, I'd only been to KD and my thoughts were it was like an out of hand Flight of Fear how it takes place in almost darkness, you can't see anything, and its way more intense than Flight of Fear if it happens at night. One of my most memorable rollercoaster experiences was first time riding Grizzly at night.

Now, the bad news. Grizzly used to have NO lighting on the track, unfortunately, they added what looks like two large lights in the middle of the top circle of the figure 8. That just lessens the experience tremendously for me compared to just going on a pretty good wooden coaster turned into a great one with you flailing around can't see anything. Now you can see the track more and its not as good, just my thoughts.

Racer at KD almost suffocated me...
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Loup Garou almost did that to me. Damn Gerstlauer's lap bars.

They had some floodlights on the far end of Grizzly when I went, but they didn't take too much away from the ride.

And Raptor is FAR better than Alpengeist. Raptor is tight and intense the whole way through...Alpie is spread out and a lot weaker.

Also, Loup Garou has Vekoma trains not Gerstlauer. Gerstlauers use pneumatics to hold the lapbar in place after it's been set...So what you described wouldn't happen if they were indeed Gerstlauer.

Ehhh, okay. Doesn't say they're Gerstlauer on RCDB so fair enough. The lapbars are huge though and with all the rides excellent ejector it hurts a bit.

Alpengeist sucks. Batman clones are better, as is Raptor, Black Mamba, Nemesis, Talon, Patriot, Montu and Afterburn. They're all better!

Hang on, what about Pheonix at Knoebels? That's supposed to have the best woodie airtime in a particular back car third seat. Some rank it higher than El Toro for airtime.

Are you debating yourself? [lol]
