I just realised that expedition Geforce has 1st gen trains, with 2nd gen zero cars. Which explains why i thought they looked so good for second gen trains.
The default Intamin cars are some of the most boring and generic ever. Intamin doesnt design the bodywork of cool ones (like Xcel, etc) thats more up to the dev team within the park. Thats not Intamins vision, its the vision of the park and whoever they have in charge of dreaming up the visuals.
But look to rides like SROS and the Megalites. Its just the most basic train you can get and in this case, simplicity doesnt look that great to me.
The B&M trains lack the length I like to see typically but most of their stuff looks gorgeous. And the best part is how they typically feel better too.
This for me make B&M my vote, they are comfy to ride and very beasty with an awesome sound. Intamin trains in my experience seriously lack leg room and are poorly sized for a bloke of my height (6ft 2in). They are seriously nothing to look at apart from the rocket trains like Stealth.
Intamin first generation overall.ButB&M is better for themes, like Dueling Dragons.B&M are more comforable. Intamin ride are more itense and the longer trains just glide like a snake on rails!
Obviously aesthetics is part of it, but Intamin's lapbars are something I don't think B&M can compete with. My first Intamin was actually Millennium Force, and I was amazed at how little those T-bars actually cover your legs.
Intamin having better restraints? No way. The clamshell on Diamondback was wayyy more comfortable than MF and TTD's. Also, the legroom on Intamin trains is horrible.
B&M win. the sleek beauty of the trains that are functional and curvy makes them look, feel and sound the best in the world. intamin just put a cowling over the running gear but B&M acrtually put looks into it too with all there sexy curves plus they leave stratigic points open to so you can see some of the mechanism. lits like a women thats almot showing the nips.
