Bandit (name pending)

An rmc coaster I've been working on for the past couple of weeks now. It is the world's first 200+ ft wooden coaster since SoB featuring a 210ft tall lift and a 215ft drop. The ride has 4 inversions (a 217?????? stall, a Cuban Eight element and a heartline roll).

I'm pretty happy with the layout at the moment and have moved on to doing the support work

An overview of the layout

The twisty pre lift section

The 210ft tall lift hill.

The double up into the 217?????? stall

The "Far end" part of the ride, showing off an outward banked airtime hill, and overbank and a wave turn

Image
The Cuban Eight element. The immelmanns are more akin to kind on B&M's more so than rmc, I didn't realise this at the time but I think it worked out for the better in the end, giving a kind of "shifty eye" look to the element

The twisting double down out of the mcbr

More airtime and overbanks

The final overbank and heartline roll into the brakes

A bit low quality, but you get the idea.

It's doing the thing newton rides do where it feels like the track can't stop turning, but otherwise pacing and stuff seems fine to me. Good work so far.

Thanks Projektion! From the POV it looks like it paces very well.

This is the only "typical" RMC set-up that I think looks good. I mean you've got all of the typical factors but you actually didn't make a horrible layout like everyone else. Your layout has purpose and doesn't feel dragged on. I mean, as long as flora and other strategic objects coax the layout. I assume you are going to do more. I look forward to more.

I was trying to go for that twitchy banking, even though rmc's aren't usually like that, I thought it fit.

With the layout, I'm trying to go for an Outlaw run "XL" type ride, so it's essentially going to run through a very foresty area in a similar fashion

Yeah I like the layout too, but I do agree that the whole ride is just undulating back and forth too much.
