Thats the poll. I also included an other option. Lets have a discussion and tell why. I personally haven't been to a theme park outside of VA, so I won't speak too much about the rest. Montu looks awesome though and is the one I want to ride the most. I voted Volcano as far as best one I've been on. If you've ridden all these or majority, please do a comparison and let us know how you rank them. The choices are VASTLY dominated by B&M with one single Intamin rollercoaster that really can holds its own compared to all the B&Ms.

Silver Bullet at KBF is definitely my favorite. The way it flies over walkways and almost chops heads off people walking into the wild west stunt show theater is awesome. This ride also packs quite a punch considering its compact and somewhat small layout.

I have ridden Possessed, Talon, Great Bear, Raptor, the SLC @ SFNE, and the Batman @ SFGAdv.

Out of those, I liked Talon the most. Great Bear is a very close second however. Possessed didnt do much for me aside from the vertical stop which is kinda cool, the SLC, well, its an SLC, Raptor is way over-rated for what it is and what it does, and Batman is ok but not one of my favorites.

I want to ride Afterburn @ CW and Alpie @ BGW some time soon though. The look like two of the best inverts out there. As-well as Montu but I doubt I'll get to BGT oops I said BGW at first lol anytime soon unless some friends go to IAAPA and invite me along.

From the list I've ridden:
Volcano,
Alpengeist,
Montu,
Talon.

Montu is best by far, but Talon's pretty awesome too, and while Alpengeist didn't really do much for me, it certainly is a great coaster.

Some others that are interesting: Flight Deck (CGA) and Batman (SFMM)

I have been on all of them and Afterburn at Carowinds is BY FAR the best. After that my favorites are Flight Deck at CGA, Dueling Dragons, and Volcano.

Montu and Alpengeist are the most overrated rides ever.

Montu wins.

Only the fire side of Dueling Dragons can compare to it.
Volcano was fun but nothing special.
Aplengeist just sucked...
Raptor is actually a close contender though, but there's just that one boring part between the cobra roll and the corkscrew...
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I love the fire side of Dueling Dragons, but I still remember riding Alpengeist when I was 9, and I still haven't found another ride better.
Although, I haven't been on Montu [:(]

Why is Montu in the top? I would rather ride Goldrusher at SFMM then Montu. Far better ride in my opinion. And what about other inverts?

I prefer Talon over all of the other inverts I've ridden, to be honest. No, it's not nearly as forceful, but I think it's a whole lot more fun. And I've ridden Raptor, Montu, Aplie, Talon, B:TR @ SFGAdv and SFMM, Volcano, Great Bear, Top Gun (or whatever it's called these days) @ Carowinds, the SLC that was at Geauga Lake, and Silver Bullet.

I would say that a close second is volcano, though.

Batman the ride clones are best.

I've only done Raptor. I love the helix, but the rest of the ride is just alright. Getting both Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge's next week though.

lol...speaking of Raptor, I loved most of the ride, but thought the helix was just ok. No joke. Positives alone don't do much for me personally, and I prefer the faster pacing, direction changes, and hard whips of the rest of the ride.

^And that is why I can't wait to go to CGA this summer [:)] The snap on Top Gun looks insane... especially that cork... Go Old B&Ms!

I actually really agree with this statement.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Afterburn really pwns the rest IMO. Nice and forceful layout.

I actually love batman clones too, but Raptor is my favorite. I only got one ride on Raptor, but I thought it was very forceful. My gf blacked out through the whole ride... which is why we only rode it once. :( She's not a fan of inverts... or as she calls them 'the batman style rides'.

Batman clones are great. They are really quick for their compact layout. The transistions are snappy and the ride isn't too drawn out. I think they are very underrated, because there are so many of them. I've been on 5 or 6 batman clones.

This thread doesn't have patriot. I guess aside from looking great, it really doesn't have that much to offer, though. I think it was build in the middle of B&M's 'so so' days.

No reason to list SLC's of course.

The only full circuit inverts I've been on are Flight Deck at CGA and Batman at SFMM. I'd have to say that I personally prefer Flight Deck just because of the super forceful helix over the water. :D

I haven't been on valcano, so it's hard to judge, but Montu was at best average to me. Strong g's, sure, but all the trims really killed the pacing for me, imo. of course that was back in spring of 06, so its been awhile. WIth that said though, ive talked to friends of mine who've ridden it recently who had the same opinion. I would rank Batman and silver bullet above montu.

But my money is an alpengeist. The pacing is killer until the final helix, and that was honestly the only element i felt lacking. The rest of the attraction was simply amazing. Still haven't been on volcano, so i can't judge that experience, but ive heard its an outstanding attraction as well.

Thank you, someone with sense.

They almost stop the train in the MCBR on Alpengeist. Other than that, no downers to the ride.
