I'm planning a little weekend trip in late July, and I'm having trouble desiding on which park, BGW or Hershey Park, I should hit. I never been to either park, and I've been wanting to goto both parks, but I can only hit one right now. Before I start pulling my hair out, I figure I'll ask for some opinions that could help me deside.

Excuse me if I am being stupid about this, but BGW is Busch Gardens Williamsburg, right? If it is, You should go there. Hershey Park only has one good coaster there, Great Bear, and its not as good as any other B&M coaster like BGW has Alpengiest and Apollo's Chariot, which are definitely worth going there for. I havent been to BGW but I know it would be better.

Hershey all the way.sure BGW has those 2 good coasters but other than that the park is boring!Hershey has 9 coasters and if you ask me they are all great!I go to hersheypark pretty much every year and I never get tired of it!I have been to BGW 2 times and am tired of it already.

I am going to Hershey in mid August[pshades]

I strongly disagree with you IntaminFan397. If you have not been to either one, keep your coments to yourself. Hershey Park is great. I have been to both and Hershey Park has more than just one good coaster. Lightning Racer is good, Wildcat is also good. Rollersoaker is not big but it will still get you soaked. BTW, ride it in the back going backwards. BGW is good but like Terrylfan5 said, it only has two good coasters. The only reason I'd reccomend that park is if you like good food, good service, good theming, and good atmospere. It is also very clean. Hershey Park is good for, of course, CHOCOLATE! They have the best chocolate. If you go, I highly reccomend going to the chocolate museum literally right outside the park, even the same parking lot. Take the tour/viewing ride of how the chocolate is made. Its free, not a long line that goes very quick due to the rotating platform, and about half way through the ride you start smelling chocolate. It is the best smell in the world. The museum is also a great place to take a break from the park and just get some lunch. In conclusion, Hershey Park might seem a bit more interesting and funfilled than Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

I'd have to Say Hershey Park, I live in Pittsburgh Pa, and go tho Hershey Park 3-5 times a summer (I was there may 24th, 2003 and june 17th, 2003) The park is great, and has one of the best wooden coasters around: WILDCAT, that is a certified thriller and shouldn't be taken as a weak coaster. Great Bear is one swift coaster, and you can see very beautiful scenery through the ride and park. The best part of great bear is the inversions and the section of track by the water. Roller-Soaker is just a pure wet fun, I wish my home park (Kennywood Park) had thought of something like it.
So, just like SMER said, if you haven't been to either park then don't judge a park on a *bull-spit* opinion, even though everyone is en-titled to their own opinion. By the way BGW is also a very great park with wonderful rides and the most delicious funnel cakes (besides Kennywood's Funnel Cakes)I've ever tasted, both are great parks. Oh By the way IntaminFan397, Appolo's chariot and Alpengiest tend to get a bit rough at the end of the ride, where-as Great Bear is smooth all throughout it's course. Have a nice day!

BUSCH GARDENS! You plannin to go to Hershey park instead of BUSCH GARDENS! TISK TISK! BGW may only have 4 coasters but theyre all good! Its worth the wait in lines. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has to be the best theme park I've been to! Its the cleanest and most well themed park! well, they have 5 coasters but its a wimpy wilde maus type ride. GO TO BUSCH!!!!! Also to top off wut i say BUSCH if on the top ten list of all theme parks! BELIEVE ME YOU'LL HAVE FUN! Also which day, will it be sunny or not, i cud find it out if u want. I disagree with terry and SMer, all of busch's coasters are great. Lockness Monster was the first coaster with interlockin loops, and Alpinghiest was the talest coaster at one time, DONT YOU WANT TO RIDE SOME HISTOrIC RIDES!!! on BB wolf at the park, its a suspended caoster, you fly through a lil town, its awesome! Apollo's chariot is one of the smoothest, most comfortable coaster I've been on! At BUSCH they have the best food! The food is themed too, EVERYTHING IS!! ITS SO AWESOME!! GO TO BUSCH!!!!!

**long story**

Errr Alpengeist still is the tallest inverted ever built [pshades] (I'm not counting Wicked Twister since it's a shuttle and not really comparable.) Alpengeist really looks amazing, that drop [:O] and the rest of the ride [:I][:D]

I think that you should go to hersheypark the park has 10 rollercoasters. The best coaster to ride is storm runner and the great bar. The park has other great rides like flat rides and kiidle rides. The best flat ride is the wip or choas that ride spens and flips you upsidedown another great flat ride is the claw a swinng plulum ride. If you go to hersheypark I remed that you go to chalte world becuse there is a tor ride and hershey's relly big 3d show and chote works were you can rip real hershey kisses there aslo is the kitkate cafe thay have good sadwiches. There is aslo a place where you can get pizzas and ice cream and cookes made with hershey's chlote chips or pentebuter cookes. Bgw was insteisng when I went there in 99 the best coasterI liked was the darange fire but that coaster was disased [:(] I like the locnees moster becuse of the inerlocking loops I heared that coaster is going to be desamed [:(]go to hersheypark you will have alot of fun at that park it is also my home park.

I think BGW, ecen if it only has 4 rollercoasters. The rides there are amazing. Alpengeist is by far the best invert I've ever been on (besides DuelingDragons), and Apollo's Chariot is also extremely fun. Also, the Big Bad Wolf is amazingly good. It is by far the best Arrow suspended in the world, and the final drop is AWESOME. It throws you out on the banked turn and is prolly the most intense ride in BGW.
