Here's the topic for my new project, Black Hawk. It's a kind of a combination between an Intamin Accelerator and a Mega-Lite. Well mostly a Mega-Lite with a launch, a top hat and inversions.

Some statistics of the ride as I just finished the layout (it still could change, don't know if it's a good one or not).

Track length: 835m
Heighest track position: 33.2m (lowest = 1m)
Duration: about 1min 20sec (didn't time it)

Track type: Intamin Accelerator/Mega-Lite (Intamin Accelerator-Lite?)

Inversions: 2 (immelmann + heartline roll)
Other main elements: 33.2m top hat, camel back (x2 : 23.6m and 21.1m), fast direction change ("G-Force turn" ?) (x2), bunny hops (x2)

Strongest negative force: -1.6G spike on the top hat
Other negative forces: -1.4G and -1.2G on the camel backs, -1G and -0.5G on the direction changes, -1.3G on the bunny hops (Ejector FTW!!)

Now, here come the pictures!

So far the layout looks pretty neat. I just hope its original enough to stand apart from all the others. I trust you'll do a good job of this though. when can we expect a release?

I think the combination will do it.
I don't already know when I will release it LOL that's an early question. Let's say late July because it's holiday now. I've already started the support work but I didn't want to show it to you on the pictures. [:)] Also I have many ideas of interactive paths etc that are coming into my head so I'll try to keep them and to make a great realistic environment. [:D]

I love your compact coasters but I also like to see you're changing your ways for this coaster. It looks good and the supports/3D's will make it even better

One thing. Do you think I should fall for the trend according to which square supports look better/more realistic/more up-to-date on Intamin's? That would definitely consume a lot of time for supports but I think I can do it, it will certainly look even better than with tubular supports...

Tubular or square supports?

I would say tubular supports with 3ds connections.

Tubular supports would be easier but this is a great chance to experience the making of 3D supports don't you think?

UPDATE: supports are done from the launch section to the top hat. As you can see, I'm going for square supports.

Looks fantastic, especially the support details. Not a fan of the 2 airhill shaping but the tophat looks amazing.

I'm not really liking the immelman. It seems too...simple? Familiar? I don't know how exactly to describe my feeling about it, but keep it in mind. The rest of the layout, though, looks beyond amazing! Definitely looking forward to it [:D]

Supports are coming along nicely, too! I like the look of it.

Sketch of a pathway scheme made out of catwalks (not complete yet), it will be done as .3ds's when I'm making the scenery.

I love the logo and the environment. The layout looks really fun as well. Can't wait to see this hit the exchange.

Don't want to be "that" guy, but this really isn't a mega-lite... It looks like a textbook Intamin accelerator... However, I love these type of rides, so by all means, keep up the good work.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I don't know if it's the angle, but it looks like the supports in the second picture (IE: Camel Hump), are not strong enough. I feel as though they should be triangular by adding legs.

I agree; make some of the taller supports A-frames. Even if there aren't any lateral stresses at that point. You can't forget about the wind [;)]

Even disregarding wind and stresses, a vertical support is not nearly strong enough for that length of track. It would buckle.

I've been reported this issue many times [:D] so I changed those "sticky" supports to A-frames.
