well ive been in blackpool all weekend and couldent resist a day in the pleasure beach.
got in throught the south entrance and headed to the pepsi max. always a good place to start as its not to extream but still quite thriling. it was very windy and quite cold but the wind was blowing from the sea straight into the lift so when you hit the top it was already like being hit by 60mph winds. the ride litrally crawled around the circuit of the coaster not giving much thrill but even so a good start to the day.
after we hit the steeple chase. its one of the old style single rail rides with horses and never fails o scart the hell out of me. all the way you feel like your going to fall off especilly round some of the final cornars and the mid corse hills.
next up iron bru revolution. very good classic coaster even with the cheesy voise telling you tyour about t go throught the loop backwads. from the station thought you get a great view of the roller coaster and of the sttple chase. deffenetly worth ot for the view aswell as the airtime after being launched. its a lille scary thought as the structure has thetendency to shake like hell.
of corse by now we was heading anti clockwise round the park so next up wh hit the space invader 2. its not to bad as its just a small indoor coaster but seems to have lost its thrill since now the inside isnt dark and its lit by ultra vilot lights with space shipes and space men. still though not a bad little ride and feels very fast throught the first corners and in the final helix
now heading past the kiddy part of the park we had to have our picture with the bever and go on the nipper dipper. itsa smal kiddie woodie. the only way to discribe this ride is so rough the hold rail breaks your knee kaps and the final tunnel is the place thatyu seriously could lose an arm.
so now we had to unfortunetly miss the clown coater[:D] so on we headed to the roller coaster. now has seatbelts but they still do nothing and you just take them off as you go up the lift hill. its a very old woodie but is a very comfortable ride. it offers some good airtime throught the finnal bunnyhills.
now its time for a little drink from the overly expensive blackpool food plaes. then we took a ride on the ghost train. very old classic and unfortunetly cloggsy didnt come out to greet us on the upper levels of the ride. i still love the skellington on the bike right at the end tough.
then being the kids we are we went on the alice in wonderland ride. its the most confusing ride ever with a upside down room a chessire cat which is bigger than alice??????? and most confusing is a scene of humpty dumpty, where the hell does that feature in the book?
so now we decided its time to get wet, very very wet. so valhalla was the ride to go on. its become not to great a ride now since its opening as alot of the efects have been shut off such as the electosfhear which has been replaced by a strobe light and atthe end with the fire there only being 3 explosions now instead of 7. but still a very wet ride.
now to dry off a nice shot on the playstation. its always a good ride with quite abit of airtime at the top and a good forceful launch.
now a bit of kiddie killing on the dogems where we did nearly get thrown off for hitting people head on[:D]
the grand national is always a pleasure. some awsome airtime on the double down drop, and the final bunnys. they have now fixed the stop and start in the station and none of the trims throught the coaster now slow the train down at all.
the crazy mouse was a great ride and for its age is far far to painful now. the suppoerts are so close if you puy your hands anywhere out the car your going to get a broken finger or wrist. but all this said still very thrilling with the carring of the speed throught the corners and the mid corse dips are very very intence even for asmall woddie like this.
now its time for what we was waiting for. INFUSION. it was a very good edition to the park indeed with some very good themeing. it was acctually very very very smooth. not quite B&M smoth but very smooth for a vekoma SLC. the water features under the drop got you little wet and there was a very clever watr cascade that followed the bottom half of the immalan. it was a very good ride indeed and we hade to hit it another 4 times in the day.
finnaly we hit the big dipper which is alwsy a really good ride with some good dipps and lats all the way through. never dissapointed with this ride. it really dosent mater where you sit on this ride theres always some good airtime and lats epecially in the turn around.
in between all this we did hit the smaller rides such as bling, the horses, impossiable, the 4d cinema, the gold mine and of corse we had our dinner in the bar under plase de terror so we could watch people running out of that ride in terror.
so all in all a very good day out in the pleasure beach as usual. the place never ever dissapoints at all.
there are no picctures cuz like an idiot i took my digital camera but forgot to put my memory stick back into it.
