EElover, you failed to see my point... the point was that you can't say one ride has the most intense section of any coaster if you haven't been on one or more comparably intense coasters. ET is by far the most intense woodie I've been on, so I used that as an example. The idea wasn't so much to compare, it was to say that you can't make extravagant claims like that without knowing for sure.

BTW, minicoopertx compared BB to every wooden ride on Earth... why exactly are you on my case?

dcs, I'll reserve giving a definite answer to your ET/BB comparison until I've ridden them both.

However, I've got a lot of experience (481 coasters so far) and >>FOR ME<< strong forces, either pos or neg, aren't as intense as the feeling that the coaster has lost its mind and is completely out of control.

Everyone is different, though. People who don't like heights would likely find MF very intense, but I don't. Some folks think Beast is intense because of the sustained speeds, but that doesn't do it for me, either. It all comes down to a person's individual psyche and preferences.

I'm pretty jaded, I guess. Height, speed, Gs, airtime, laterals... none of those are very intense to me any more, at least not by themselves. What is intense, however, is being surprised, having something unexpected happen, being made to feel that I need to hang on to something, the feeling of OMG WTF!?!?!?!?!
And of the coasters I've ridden, Bullet does that... even after 400 rides on it.

Hoping to add ET next summer.
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.

that reminds me of the first time i rode ghost rider.. i had gotten very used to knott's obscenely tame rides, as i had grown up there..
i was siting in the very last seat with a complete stranger.. i had my hands up thinking it would be a fun ride, but being knott's and all , not very tough.. i became the guy who instinctively grabbed the bar at the bottom of the first drop, and to this day the launcher out of the turnaround for the first time is still one of the greatest moments of my life..
the guy next to me looked a little pale, and he was a black guy.. never again will i underestimate a ride!

Fair enough minicoopertx. I also think I'd find that first section of BB very intense for the reasons you stated, but as much as I agree that airtime or positives by themselves aren't too intense, the way ET pulls them off is pretty ridiculous at times. On three of the hills, definately on my first ride and still sometimes I can literally feel the blood rushing to my head, and that is accented by the crazy quick transitions from strong negatives to heavy positives, to the point where many times people can't adjust quick enough and sit up straight on the first 3 pullouts...I've seen an onride that showed that clearly too, it's pretty crazy.

lol at your last sentence jayman, hahaha.

I'm definately looking forward to this recreation being done though, especially since it has such a hidden layout with tons of excitement, unusual shaping, etc. Doesn't hurt that Jake's doing it too :P

Presssure's onnnnn!
