Bobbejaanland: 30th March 2008:

The Entrance :)

Image
A concrete tree at the entrance, it's something new... xD

Image
Wheee, it's typhoon! [:D]

Image
First i'd continued to revolution with a short look on sledgehammer (which ran every 15min if there were about 20 people.)

Image
Yay... Special made entrance for revolution

Image
Yay, revolution is departing ^_^

Image
Close call you'd normally don't see [lol]

Image
Yay, the clock on going upwards

Image
Ohhh... chaos starts and time goes backwards [pshades]

Image
Awww... The final brakes again [:(]

Image
On my wait around the park I passed next to the rapid with the ferris wheel that they don't use for 6-7 years now [lol]

Image
Even though it was wet outside I took a ride, since there is only one spot where you can get wet, when your unlucky...

Image
I passed next to the clone wild mouse

Image
Later on I walked over to the monorail station where they have a few models of the rides at Bobbejaanland. The park has the first 3-4 weeks circus theme. lol

2 models that are located behind that window :)

Image

I also shot a few pictures of the new "bananabos". From the last time i've seen it, it's an slight improvement [:)]

Image
Oh yeah, did loads of rides on typhoon, Vertical lift ^_^

Image
W00t! 97* drop

Image
Oh yeah, sledgehammer did run during this ride

Image
Heartline Rolls!

Image
Final roll, damn... I wanna do that inversion after a complete stop on that brake [pshades]

Image
offride shot! [:D]

Image
Guess what happned when the park closed? Yep, rain left and the sun came shining.

Image
one of the final rides from the minetrain

Image
Bye typhoon, see ya in a few months!

I'm probably going to create a short video of my day, it's mostly onrides and a little offride footage [:)]

Nice report Dirk.

That ferris wheel was so awesome, but now it's just standing there. [lol]

Sounds like you actually rode that wheel on the first year of operation. Now they arn't allowed to use it anymore...[:(] I've even heard now that they have disconnected the electronic equipment of that wheel.

Yeah, I had a chance to ride it.

But due to fire issues or something they had to close it, it didn't look that safe though to be honest. [lol]

btw, that tree doesn't look much like a tree does it? [lol]

The reason of shutting down that wheel was: in case of an evacuation, people couldn't be evacuated on that wheel. Which is unsafe [;)]

I still wonder why they didn't went for the traditional vertical elevator lift...

bobbejaanland made some good improvements for the new season. the splash battle is starting to look good altough it's a shame that they changed the revolution :( hopefully they keep their hands off the movie and music or it will loose al its charms !

Well, then i have bad news for you: They are going to change the movie and the music after the eastern holidays. So if you'd want to ride it in only glory. Go now!

The music in Revolution is just the same as the past years. Some soundtrack of Bones on the Beach or something like that... Will it change or what?

LOL! Typhoon is getting green now? Oh well, better than gray track to gray supports to concrete at the bottem.

That tree is so fugly, no idea why they spend money to make something like that ... dito to the 2 new attractions they're making, especially King Kong. What are they thinking?? They're just throwing away their money.

Thanks for the photos!

PS: I did almost all E-breaks during a test, including the final one. It was soooooo awesome [:D] I immediatly putted my arms back inside, the supports are SO close to it. Scary!
