Some interesting things to consider:

1). The Rocket Coaster is happening in 2006, confirmed to 235 Club by a senior person at BPB Ltd.
2). They said it would go from the Millennium Bug Dome (the ride was removed this year in preparation) and go out to the sea.
3). The 3 footers are very similar to the ones at Cedar Point, albeit bigger and reversed, (probably due to the stronger winds and more unstable ground).
4). There is only one place that the rocket coaster track could pass through the big one - where the two hills are adjacent.
5). The 3 footers are not only perfectly in the right place for that, but they are also aligned just right with Watson Road (even at the exact angle) so the track would head off to the Millennium Bug Dome.

Those of you with a keen eye may notice that the footers are reversed from the Cedar Point versions. This could be due to the strong winds that would batter the ride from the Irish Sea - hence putting the single support on the park side of the structure to help counter the force of the wind.

i copied this from the site...
so i guess it would be true...

Hey The Edge, or anybody else that has been to BPB, how long have those decorations/footers been there? Also I just realized the footers are facing the opposite direction of the millenium dome.

yes it is going to happen, you'll see. it cant be a coinsidents that the footers align perfectly with were the station is going to be. anyway i read somewhere that 2 rocket coasters have definitely been purchased for 2006 in the UK, one for Blackpool Pleasure Beach and one for Thorpe Park.

Well if youve been to Blackpool you will realise that these so called 'footers' line most of the Seafront and are not just in that one place. BPB might get a Rocket Coaster and if they do i will be completly shocked. The fact is that personaly i just dont see it happening. For a start there is total lack of room, ok they claim they will build it over other rides. Still if they do build it over other rides there will be next to no room to put in the maintenence room and the operating room where the motors will be kept. For example the motors for TTD is at the end of the launch. The winds in BPB get ridicoulsy strong also. If youve ever been there on a bad day (i know i have) you'll know what i mean. The Irish winds that pick up on the coast near blackpool gets up to a 100mph. This makes operating conditions fairly adverse, and apart from a few days in the summer the ride would simply not be able to operate. I persoanly just think its a rumour that has snow balled and has caught the imagination of kids throughout the UK, who have limited knowledge of coaster building and will take things for granted. You cant believe everything people tell you. Open your eyes and see for yourself. Anyone else thats been to Blackpool will back me up on these facts and deep down inside they will agree they cant see it happening

I just heard Alton Towers are also gonna build a 600ft rocket coaster. Its gonna go up the vally and twist into the castle and everything, im so excited. And i just know its gonn happen. I think i saw footers, but that might have been a tree...im not sure....

ECC also confirmed along with like all eight of Blackpools park managers, that there gonna actualy get a 800ft reverse rocket coaster, which blasts out along the seafront, all the way to the Blackpool tower and go over the top and come back.....
