How do you get the train to come to a complete stop and hold for the given amount of seconds on a brake section?

I am trying to get this right and on the coaster I am building right now the train stops for a split second and then just keeps going. But I have it set to come to a complete stop for 6 seconds.

Any idea on what is going on or what I could be doing wrong?

If you don't know what I mean, then check out Real's coaster Rogue Wave and notice how before the launch the train stops for given amount of time and then proceeds onto the launch.

Brake settings... check the complete stop button, set time appropriately.

Opps, I forgot to mention that I do have that option checked, but it still just stops for a split second and then takes off.

Offtopic, but do you use windowsblinds (I think that is the name)?

Here are the settings I have;

The brake segment is 15m long and I the train is only 4 cars long (intamin style) so it should be long enough so that the end or front ends arn't hanging out into the next/previous block sections.

[edit] Yeah I read your last post wrong, ahah. The brake section is angled slightly upwards at a 20* angle, so the brakes at the current should be strong enough.

Hmm, how would I fix it without getting rid of friction wheels? I kinda need them because the brake section is on a 20* slope.

is it for a shuttle coaster, i know that if you try to add wait timing on a shuttle that it just does a quick complete stop and then continues with the ride.

Dirk, you are a genious!

LOL, thanks man. I had not though of changing that. I had my coaster set on the shuttle mode so I didn't have to keep connecting the track.

You can use the holding-feature on a shuttle too. just make sure you're not crawling into the brake and use high friction on the normal tires.

Buster.
