So, I was doing block tests on a coaster I'm building and the mid-run brake will stop the train, then proceed to open and close constantly while slowing allowing the train to move forward. I even raised the hysteresis and that didn't help.

Any assistance on how to fix it?

If it is in "Shuttle" mode then it will do this... It has to be in "Continuous" for it to completely stop.

^I looked it up in the dictionary one time, then the definition had like 5 other words I had to look up. I still don't know what it means. [lol]

Here's how NL's braking system works:

You have 3 variables, speed limit (S), hysteresis (H), and deceleration (D). The train coming has a velocity of V.
Basically, if the train comes in at V>(S+H), the brake run will decelerate at D as much as it can before the end of the brake run or until it stops. If (S-H)<V<(S+H), then the train will be decelerated until V=(S-H). And if V<(S-H), the brake run does nothing. So, in effect, your "real speed limit" is (S-H), not S.

Hysteresis is basically the "deviation" of the brakes. If you have a brake that acts at 12mph with a hysteresis of 3, then that means that the brakes will clamp at 15mph and may not release until 9mph. 9-12-15
