Absolutely.
Granted, the g forces and the shaping should still be realistic to B&M style. But otherwise you can do, and are encouraged to do, just about anything.

Look, if you don't like my rules, don't compete. Quit trying to make me look like an idiot.

If you haven't noticed, my G Force limitations have always been very lenient. I like to keep them loose, so that less-experienced designers can at least have a chance.

-1.2 is realistic...you get somewhere near -1 on Hydra's first roll. To say -.5 would work for most elements but would completely eliminate that possibility.

Hydra rocks in the back seat...don't know what ya'll are smoking.

Oh yeah, I'm in.

In the Christmas template:

"You may move the red parts of the template up or down as needed, but do not move the blue X"

How should we go about moving the red up while leaving the blue behind? I wonder if we can delete the beams and leave the nodes in their original place?

Yeah though I only rode twice, I thought Hydra was fun, front and back row.

Actually, I've never ridden it. I was just trusting Coasterkidmwm's judgment... [lol] I'm still referring to stuff like the Medusa clones and SFNE's Dark Knight coaster, though. Also, a majority of B&M's recent looping coasters. Fun, yes, but really generic and relatively forceless.

Sure, you can do that... As long as the placement of the template doesn't change.

Nah, I thought Hydra was pretty bad...The jojo roll was cool, but the rest was slow and lame.

Anyways, I've got a pretty cool beginning. Just a first drop and element, but I think it's pretty creative so far. Maybe I'll get a few pictures later.

Hydra isn't slow at all...especially for it's size. I found every element fun, especially in the back seat. There was many moments of air back there too (noticeably the first drop and hill before the cork). The transition into the first element is really cool, as is the 0g cork thing and the twisty hill. Vastly underrated IMO.

Anybody else going for the July 4th template? It's mucho fun!

Hm.....

Put my name down. I need a reason to build something.
Plus, I have nothing better to do. Kind of on a vacation. =)

Yes, the design will be send to B&M and they are going to build it for real! NOT! xD

I'm in, but i'm not sure if I will submit a track, I'm pretty busy lately...

Question: Are Cobra Rolls, Batwings etc. considered as one or two inversions?

Just to clarify to anyone else who still hasn't noticed... this is just a site contest, and Holiday World is not really involved in it. This is just another case like the Jazzland contest. I like throwing in an actual park and actual space to add realism to my contests. [lol]

can you use your own 3ds models inside the boundary? E.G for the station

^It is allowed, and encouraged. Just remember, a 3ds station still counts as the station building, and therefore must remain inside the purple "x".

(I'm adding this to the rules of each template. I probably should have clarified to start with.)

Any scenery that does not help support the coaster, such as queue paths, theming, and park objects, can go anywhere except on the roads.

They would never build a ride that would intersect Voyage...none of their other rides do this. Its a part of how they build keeping each ride separate. It would look incredibly tacky.
