Busch Gardens Williamsburg recently posted this video of an early teaser for their 2017 attraction. I'd say it's probably for a new roller coaster if they're teasing it this far in advance.

Guessing it will be something like Cobra's Curse if it is a coaster.

I am gonna go with a new coaster. They mentioned "a drop would go over here" and clearing land or something? Kinda rings a bell.

Guys, they just got a coaster in 2015. This park is not Cedar Point where new coasters come every 2 years. I'm thinking some overhyped flat ride.

Yes you are right. This park is not Cedar Point. It is what parks like Cedar Point should strive to be.

It's gonna be a Falcon's Fury clone...
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Doesn't seem very plausible considering Mach tower is in the same park. Unless they removed that and I had absolutely no idea about it lol.

Oh... I forgot that was there.

Yeah I don't know what it will be then!

I'm still leaning toward this being a new coaster. Like Blase Rhine said, "a drop would go over here" sounds like a giveaway (unless they plan on putting in a new drop tower). I just think it's a little funny that BGW is teasing this so early when they denied Tempesto's existence until a month before opening ;).

Also.... Not really sure why this stuck out to me but then again they always add these little details to teaser videos... There is a hammer on the table... A hammer would be used to build things such as coasters. Maybe a RMC (only issue is the noise issues). Perhaps something like Cobras Curse or perhaps another dark ride. I am excited to hear more in the future about this.

BGW has tried to make wooden coasters many times in the past. They were always declined by the surrounding residents who feel that woodens are too loud.

They should ask B&M to put ball bearings in Alpengeist for sonic enhancement.

I'm guessing that it will be a B&M wing launch coaster.

If I'm hearing it right, they say "THE drop would go over here" and not "A drop...". This would imply that the ride only has 1 drop.

The younger guy sitting at the table says "The clearing would be all the way from here, to here" (while he's pointing out a straight line with his hands). The other guy at the table points his hand down a bit in the direction of the clearing when he says that the drop would go there. This could mean that the ride has a straight section at the end of the drop.

I think it might be a water ride with one big drop.

They are yes, pointing at the construction map so I guess that the coaster will also have something to do with "terraforming". Could be a really simple reason.

"The drop" would mean the first drop.

We should be wary of confirmation bias to avoid potential disappointment; just saying. It would be really cool to see a new coaster for BGW next year, though.

It could be terraforming but the guy is pointing out a straight section of clearance towards the drop. If they want clearance for a coaster they would normally point out an area or a curving line instead of a straight line. A straight section on a coaster / ride normally means hills, a launch or brakes.

The straight section is right after the drop so it's logical that it wouldn't be a launch. Normally you see a straight section of hills only on a big coaster and the clearance is one line (not several spots). It wouldn't be logical to make clearance for the top of each huge hill (I don't think it's possible for them to create several mountains so that the huge hills will be close to the ground). The most logical option would be that the clearance is meant for the brakes.

I've never heard anyone say "The drop" instead of "The first drop" for a ride that has multiple drops. If they are saying "The drop" instead of "The first drop" I think that there's a reason for it. Maybe the only reason is because they don't want it to be too obvious that it's a coaster or maybe it's because it will get a droptrack (although it wouldn't be logical to have a straight section of clearance after the droptrack). But I just think the reason for saying "The drop" is that it only would have just one drop.

I've always refered to the first drop as the drop. You wouldn't call Mavericks ejector hill a drop, you'd call it an airtime hill.

In that case, it's probably that I'm not an native English speaker.
