Please, if you are an atheist, or you practice another religion, just do not get involved. It would be best for everyone. I respect you and whatever religion you follow, but this is rather important to me.

So, a couple years back (this is when I was 12), my father was diagnosed with stage III Melanoma. Through months of chemotherapy, he fought it off, but he has been in and out of the hospital quite often the last few weeks. We got the results from his latest PET scan today, and the prognosis is bad.
His cancer has returned in full swing, spreading from the original region into the liver, spine, ribs, and spleen. The doctor has given him 3 months to live, if even that.

I'd just like to call any Christians here to pray that he is able to die peacefully, and that my family will be okay. He is the majority of our income, and he also handles pretty much all the money in and out of the house.

Thanks, guys. [:(]

But none of that really hits here so it's okay.

I've got cancer myself and will never be cured, so i can empathize from the depths of my heart. My thoughts are with you KKK and I really feel for you and your family, and your dad most of all. My best wishes are that he recovers, but failing that I hope it is a peaceful and painless as possible for him.

Should it be of any use, i'm off to bed now and will be thinking about this all night, and probably all of tomorrow too. And sending my best wishes all the time. Keep your chin up KKK and let your Dad know how much he means to you, and that some English guy thousands of miles away sends his best wishes, and empathizes as a cancer victim.

jayman's got the right idea. Although I won't be praying (you probably don't want me to; any god that hears my prayers will probably make their opposite happen out of spite![:P]), I will most certainly keep you and your family in my thoughts, and continue to wish you all the best.

Really, I don't know what to say. Just a weird idea for me that the people with all these dumb online alias have a real, human life behind them, with actual problems...I'm sorry for you...

I have no religious affiliation whatsoever (Atheist, if you will), but don't feel that should have anything to do with this.

As a fellow member and, more importantly, fellow Human Being; my thoughts are with you and your family at this awful time and I hope from the bottom of my heart that you are able to enjoy what time your dad has left and that you and your family can make it as peaceful an end to his life as possible.

My father died from various cancers about 7 years ago and my mom was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer; so I can empathise with your feelings. Something that helped me through the loss of my dad was the realisation that I was not alone; there are so many people out there who are going through, or have been through the same - reach out and talk. It helps a lot.

Look man, whether someone is christian, atheist, buddhist, or what have you, death of a loved one is a terrible thing. I'm an atheist, and reading this made me feel terrible. I dont really call it praying, but you have every ounce of sympathy I'm able to offer. I really hope he's able to pull through.

I'm Christian, but if you have the feeling that you are going to piss someone off for what your opinion is by bashing others, keep it to yourself.

If you want to know, I'm Catholic, but I'm not CATHOLIC Catholic. Not by a long shot.

I'm not great with words in sad moments, so all I'm gonna say: best wishes man. My thoughts and sympathy go out to you. If you need anything, let me know!

Like TMV, I'm feelin' bad for you... I hope only the best.
