This thread is way off topic XD. But then again, there hasn't been anything relevant to post about.

@BottomFeeder- Since I had never been on a regular intamin drop as opposed to Kingda Ka's Launch, I had never experienced anything remotely close to I-305's drop so that could be why it was intense for me. I think they went a bit overboard going with 85 degrees instead of 80. I think the lower the pull up, the better the drop and I-305's is really high, MF's is really low, and most of them on B&M-'s are pretty low.

^That happened to me on Kingda Ka because of a light drizzle. But it was alright since I live like an hour away so I go all the time.

Looks like some management changes at Carowinds.

Park News - (8/6/14) New management changes have taken place at Carowinds, as former park VP/GM Bart Kinzel has resigned and been replaced by Mike Fehnel who comes to Carowinds with 20 years in the business, most recently serving as VP/GM of Dorney Park.

Sorry for double posting, but big news; Carowinds is at it again trying to trick us with it's new coaster!

The roman themed banner has been replaced by a purple one with lightning bolts that says, "Can Lightning Strike Twice?

Another warning sign with "Danger" tape graphics appeared after, with a phone number to call if you saw any strange activity that may have been released during construction.

But the most misleading action of all taken took place on Wednesday when Carowinds sent a worker in a bee keeper outfit to hand deliver boxes with the phrase "You can't stop it, you can only hope to contain it." Inside these boxes were large insect/butterfly nets. Carowinds has also changed the graphics on the 2015 countdown to a honeycomb pattern and put the same catchphrase as the one delivered on the box.

Image

This could mean 2 things. One, Carowinds is trying to lead us off the trail like they did with Intimidator (Whyte Lightning). Two, the insect nets were about the same size as a basketball hoop. I think they could possible try to name and theme the coaster around the re-launching of the Charlotte Bobcats as the Charlotte Hornets. This would also explain the picture of the teal track found with Thunderbird's track at the B&M factory in Ohio. The teal is the same color found on the Hornet's new home uniforms so this could be very likely. Also, as I play and watch basketball, the catchphrase immediately struck me as a basketball catchphrase. Thoughts? Comments? Complaints?

See the similarity?

What if it was all a miss direction  and the park isn't getting a new coaster at all, instead it goes to Knotts Berry Farm! They've been trying to get a Giga coaster for years! jk but it would be pretty cool.
I think there just trying to confuse us, but it not gonna work!

Goliath's first drop at SFMM is very underrated, just because its not steep, but because of that, the pull up is VERY low, also in a tunnel, TONS of floater, and the drop is LONG because its not steep. A very interesting drop compared to other massive coasters, one that we must study MORE. :geek:

Somethings though things like the "air hill" on Gatekeeper that somehow managed to be even weaker than Raging Bull annoy me though.

So Cedar Fair will be giving us 2 basketball themed rides next year.

I don't think they are leading us off the trail. The Roman Colosseum is on of the seven wonders of the world. They are referencing the Charlotte Colosseum which they also stated in a clue. Who plays there? the hornets, hence the bug costume. The colors of the track also seems to match, maybe blue supports is a guess, but is it a wing rider or a giga??? that is still the question???? I really hate them incorporating sports teams/nascar into roller coasters. It's just cheesy and lame.

^I hope your'e not talking about I-305. I think the theme fits absolutely perfectly with the ride because low banked turns happen in nascar (just in the same direction like 200 times  ). The trackwork is very similar to NASCARs while Carowinds' Intimidator doesn't fit at all as NASCARs dont do what Intimidator does (camelbacks and overbanks). To sum up, it works sometimes but mostly it doesn't.

Naw its still lame they put a nascar theme in! The trains on I305 are some of the ugliest trains out there. The ride may be awsome but the theme is chessy and could have been done better. A SIMPLE old west theme, is a hundred times better than a sports theme.

It's interesting, but I think this is partly true stuff, and partly a throwoff.

I got some pictures for you! Construction is progressing a bit since I last posted this picture

Looks to be the footers the for brake run, station, turn around into the station, and lift

The invitations to media day have been released (about a week and a day ago.) Is it going to be named Centurion, Fury 325 (not likely) or something else? It could or could not be Centurion because of the teaser site discovered a few days ago, but this could also be a hoax. But the insect theme appears yet again above. It could really be anything. If Carowinds is trying to confuse people with the naming, they're doing a pretty sound job. ;)

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!

This teaser banner was found at Carowinds a long while ago, but I only found it now. Underground tunnel perhaps? (Like Leviathan?)

That's all for now 8-)

I would laugh exceptionally hard if this was another B&M family coaster.

Sounds like that name more belongs to Dorney, and then Fury 325 belongs at Carowinds.

I think I understand the whole "Can lightning strike twice?" clue now!

Since B&M also designed Intimidator, I'd say this guarantees that they're the manufacturer! And as for the name, this new teaser image was also released, that incorporates the whole hornet thing (and looks amazing):

The deal with Centurion? Maybe they're retheming Intimidator or something, I dunno. But I am positive that Fury 325 is the name.

As much as a Dale Earnhardt Fan as I was, The whole theme is kind of... bleh...? Especially it being at two separate parks. I wouldn't mind Intimidator being renamed Centurion.

Nah, now I think Centurion is going to Dorney, since all their rides are mythologically themed in my opinion.

I love the Fury logo! It fits the hornet theming surprisingly. I wish it was grey track with neon green supports like the green eyes.
