So the Boomerang is getting a repaint as well with Murica supports? Seems the CP "midway fixes" are hitting the other parks as well by storm.

I LOVE Troikas and Top Scans so this is a great addition. I wish they would have gotten a Star Shape instead though.

They are changing it name to "The Flying Cobras", it supposed to have an airshow there.

The Flying Cobras
The Carolina Cobra is getting a makeover with a new name and theme. Fitting for any Carolina County Fair, guests will look to the sky for an air show featuring the daring aviation maneuvers of The Flying Cobras.

Mine name idea is the Spin Cycler, it sounds more fair like.

Interesting. The wet park absorbed some of the dry park, now the opposite happens.

From Carowinds Facebook.

It also looks like they removed one of their waterpark slide complexes to make room for the new additions.

Rumors are going around that the park will resume operation all year next year, as long as temperatures are favorable. a family member heard this at a travel stop in North Carolina, when they where trying to acquire a brochure for me but was unsuccessful.

That's a much darker blue than I thought it would be.

Good thing they're finally painting it. Xcelerator's faded color scheme does not look well on that ride.

^ Um, neither good nor bad as for the track color. I think that's a bit too dark. Not that I'm saying like the ride experience is bad.

Splendid. The victims can appreciate a pleasant color scheme.

The boomerang at Carowinds is actually not that bad. It has vest restraints as well which makes it a lot better. It's no Zoomerang on a scale of smoothness but it's by no means horrible.

Is it the same blue as CP's Corkscrew?

The support detail looks neat. I hope the sun doesn't murder it. How is Kumali doing? That's the only one with stripes I can think of.

Kumali has the advantage of not using red paint, so that will definitely fade quicker. Looks good for now though.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

I wish there would be more fancy support paint like that out there! The ones I think of first are Kumali (as stated above), Untamed, and Stealth. That's a great job they did!

Latest Screamscape rumors say that Vortex might be closing in 2017 to be converted into a floorless coaster for 2018. While it would definitely be much less painful than the ride in its current state, it probably wouldn't be very interesting by floorless coaster standards. :|
2018 - Vortex Floorless Conversion - Rumor - (12/15/16) As much as I was hoping this wouldn't happen, Screamscape sources tell us to get your last rides in on Vortex in 2017, because at some point before the season is over Vortex will shut down early and begin work to convert it into a B&M Floorless coaster experience instead, with all new colors and a new name for when it reopens in 2018.
