I totally agree with you, that it shouldn't be an airtime machine. My problem is that it doesn't seem forceful enough, and that they went an out and back layout too similar to one they already have. They are installing it in more than enough space to have it create a more visually impressive and varied skyline, have more interesting elements, and add more new tricks and treats to the design. It's not bigger and better, it's kinda just slightly taller and more of the same... It's like they are getting lazy and didn't really want to push the envelope like they did with Leviathan. If you think about it, Leviathan was a bit of out-of-the-box thinking for B&M. I was hoping they didn't fall into a rut like they did after building Apollo's Chariot where all their hypers were pretty mundane with different turns. Yeah they are all amazing and Diamondback is totally my favorite (Nitro won't let me ride it, it was down all three times I went -_-) but make another raging Bull y'know? switch it up some.

ah well, right turn "L"-shaped out and back number 3 it is lol They could have at least had it facing the other direction with the station at the turn around

I do agree that it looks a little forceless, but it won't be that bad given the sense of speed it gets. It really wasn't built for forces. In fact, the only giga built for forces would be I-305. All others provide a sense of speed, even MF. Trust me, we will probably stop complaining after a while. I also think they shouldn't have went with the classing L-shape layout which is nearly identical to I-232 (except for the elements of course). B&M really should vary their layouts.

^I disagree. Putting drop towers on a strata was a fantastic idea, just not in the state of New Jersey . NJ is the nanny state, and if it was built in another, less strict state (Ohio) it would probably be allowed to run at the same time (as TTD). Plus, it's extremely marketable for the GP

And it's mainly Six Flags who's been investing in RMC, but I do agree with you that everyone is building B&M's.

Any word on when this might open? I was thinking of taking a trip to Charlotte March 27ish next year to catch a race. I figured I'd also hit Carowinds while I'm out there, but don't want to go if this isn't open yet. Just logically thinking, March seems like it would be too soon to have a new ride complete and opened, especially one of this size. I'm also used to Six Flags deadlines where the new coaster will open up in the middle of the season. It's also looking like the weekend I'm planning may possibly be opening weekend for Carowinds. Right now I'm thinking it would be better for me if I wait until 2016 for this trip since it would be more certain that Fury 325 would be open.

Side notes, and probably a little off topic: I can't go a little later in the year since I'm planning this around a race I know will be on 3/27-29. If you happen to somewhat follow NHRA (the race I'm planning around), I also don't want to go in September since it won't be the 4 wide race, and it's questionable if Carowinds would even be open.

Cedar Fair likes to have rides open on Opening Day of the season. So you would need to find out when Carowinds opens, and then you can try to plan your trip around that. But be warned, even though Cedar Fair has a good track record with getting rides open on time and on opening day in the last few years, this doesn't guarantee that this ride will be ready. So maybe waiting until 2016 may be the way to go for you.

I love the yellow on the underside. It will look great when you can see it on the turns.
