How do you make cartextures. Is there a program you have to download or buy. I dont even know if its free.

Well, since you mentioned it, I'll bring up an old post.
Convert your tga into jpg/gif then convert it back. (that means make your texture in paint then convert it to .tga when your finished.)
It is a 100% free, no trial version, working version. When you get it, you need to mess with the settings first, though so it will be saved into the right folder. the Url is http://www.etrusoft.com/download.htm and click on the "Easy Graphics Converter"
(scroll down a lil bit to see it)

inside of the cartextures folder, you will find it in the main NL folder.

I downloaded the graphics converter but how do I make my own design?

That site tells you where all the textures go, it diesnt tell you how to make your own design. I think itmight be because I dont have one of those graphics programs. He has links to some but they are all in German.

Are you useing it for a Looping, corkscrew, or Hyper (2-seat)[?]

ok, the ones i listed above are the easiest, but what you can do is open the one that came with the game and edit it.

When making cartextures you have to use any graphics program. This can be paint, but you won't achieve much with it.

I recommend Corel Photo Paint or Adobe Photoshop, without a more advanced program you won't be able to make something cutting edge [pshades]

You get it in a good computer store.

If you don't want to buy it, get GIMP, that one is free.

do a search on msn or yahoo for it, I use UP, but thats just me, UP can do lots of cool stuff, look at my 2 newest track's screenies for an example.
