Yeah I can feel a ban coming too. Hopefully I'll have time to finish. This weekend is blocked and Mon-Wed is blocked.

I'm gonna finish.

However this is the most annoying coaster i have ever designed.
I don't like my ride.
I don't like the template.
I don't like the track style.
I don't like the purple line rule.
and

I hate the extra car thing at the front of these trains... so UGLY!

EDIT: Here's my layout, note that everything after the MCBR is subject to change :P

1. that kind of subjective, perhaps i like it?
2. well it's a tournament, you don't HAVE to like it
3. B&M loopers rule
4. everybody has to deal with it, get over it
5. zero-cars also rule

maybe unfortunate_smiley won't post a ride and I'll get an easy pass. I honestly can't build a B&M at all.

I still haven't even started. School's as crazy as ever, so this weekend is probably the only chance I'll get. I'm gonna have to whip something up pretty quickly. I have at least come up with a few ideas, though.

Two Questions:

1) I have a magnetic brake run. It is a brake segment which hides the real brakes and has LIMs, these lims are set to a speed of 12mph. DQ or no DQ?

2) I want to build a lake outside the boundaries and if i lower the ground, the water doesnt lap at the edge of the lake properly, so can i raise the edges or the lake? or is the terrain rule set in stone? Are we allowed minimal terrain raises so long as the general land shape is maintained (like round 4 last 06).

EDIT: Like this, the terrain doesnt change much but it looks better:

your answers alton_

1 As long as the segment is brake to 12mph and not braking-and-maintaining 12mph
2 Only lowering

So, do I get this right: terraforming is allowed, just no raising the terrain...?

I need to make room for some supportwork... It looks stupid if the land is like 30cm under the track...

You can just lower it a bit then, without making any lakes.

Well, my good computer completely crashed, so right now I'm running Windows 2000 and I don't have NoLimits. Looks like I'm not gonna be submitting lol

Alright, I'm leaving for Washington in about half an hour (without a computer) and I'm nowhere near finished on my entry, so I guess I'll be taking the ban. See you guys in three weeks.[pshades]

Did a quick check of the initial post and haven't seen my (or anyone else's name) colored in as having sent in a track.

^totally forgot to do that.

BTW people, since there are a lot of ppl dropping out, sending in a track that is total crap but isn't a DQ, might even get you into the next round!

I hate doing supports (as is probably obvious by the track I submitted, lol). I tend to build a lot of wood coasters and mine trains because of the auto-support function.

Here's hoping that NL2 has a steelie auto-support function, with support styles dependent on the type of track you're using...
