Cedar Fair and Apollo Deal Tosted

As everyone pretty much guessed, the Cedar Fair buy out by Apollo is not going to happen. Cedar Fair CEO Richard "Dick" Kinzel said "The board has heard from Cedar Fair unitholders and it is apparent that the merger transaction does not have the required level of investor support", in a press release which you can read here: http://cedarfair.com/ir/press_releases/ ... ory_id=235

As stated before, with many of the major unitholders stating they would not go for the deal, this should not be a surprise to anyone.

Idk how I feel about this. I'm kinda glad that the merger didn't take place. However, I'm not sure how this will effect the company in the long term. I would hate to see Cedar Fair selling it parks to handle the debt situation. I guess we will see how this will affect the summer.
