Cedar Point 2018 - Steel Vengeance RMC Mean Streak

I saw on some instagram page that they thought that Railblazer was going to the Raptor RMC. But it could be for anything. I don't like that name for new mean streak as much as others I've seen.

Railblazer definitely sounds plausible for RMC Mean Streak, but in my opinion it sounds more Cedar Fair than Cedar Point. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm dead wrong, but I'm thinking it's more likely for RMC Hurler than RMC Mean Streak. It could also work for a Raptor, but if we assume CGA is getting that it wouldn't fit with the teasers the park has put up.

I agree on both points, Railblazer just feels not quite apt for a Cedar Park kind of ride.

I'm hoping not. That sounds far too cheesy. I'm hoping for stampede, which is a nice subtle name for a wacky ride. Really I'd love Evil Streak, to help keep the Streak name alive.

Please keep the original name as the adjective "mean" fits with twisty elements! I agree with a person above me! Railblazer is not good to express the "layout" insanity.

I wouldn't mind the name "Mean Muthafuckin' Streak' Tho I'm sure they'd think of the children and moral guardians.

I think they will do that after 1 or 2 years after opening. When the hype is over.

I think keeping the 'Streak' essence would be a good idea too. Maybe "Red Streak" because the track is red and that's also what happens in my underwear on a daily basis.

If they made the track out of copper they could wait a few years and name it "Green Streak"

I mean, that looks like it'll hit pretty much vertical. This thing should be pretty insane.

To address the loss of speed due to friction, Fred Grub recently did an interview in which he said that the newer US rides are getting newly designed trains. That could mean that they have fixed the friction issue so we don't have as much of a speed loss throughout the ride.

Wow that extra ledger adds so much. I can't imagine how huge it's going to be..

I figured it was because steel wheels on steel track could be damaging to the track

Photo's from the park's media construction tour. The lift has gotten almost 3/4 of the way done. Also, the date floating around from what I've seen on twitter is August 7th at 5PM for an announcement. If i can find a new job, you can bet that I will be up there!
