With these new photos that surfaced recently, I think it's safe to say that the orange/brown track at Clermont is Dive Coaster Track.

I know this photo is extremely blurry but If you look closely it says "DM" followed by a code. Presumably, DM could stand for "Dive Machine" but this could be false
Image

Just look at this track (especially the 3rd in the front row). It's ENORMOUS, much larger than any B&M track I've seen before. Much too huge to be anything other than Dive Track.
Image

And finally, the only picture that I actually can back up with proof, notice that the lift track has 2 antirollback sets on each side of the chain trough rather than 1. Only Dive Coasters have that. Other B&M's including giga coasters and hyper coasters have them only on one side. (See Below)
Image

This is a photo of Sheikra's chain lift. It has the exact same antirollback setup as the orange track at Clermont, on both sides of the chain.
Image

And to compare, these are pictures of the antirollbacks on Fury 325 and Leviathan. Only one set of antirollbacks, on the right side of the chain.
Image
Image

And if you don't want to use the giga coasters as an example, here's a shot of Intimidator's antirollbacks.
Image

So basically, some park is getting a gigantic dive coaster. The question isn't even "Where is the track going?", it's "Is it or is it not going to Cedar Point?"

Personally, I would prefer a few other coaster types before a Dive Coaster, particularly some sort of wooden coaster, but I'm sure Valravn (or whatever it will be called) will still offer plenty of thrills and be a huge hit with the GP.

^I agree, the GP will go crazy if they get a dive coaster. The aspect of facing a vertical drop just hanging there on the holding break is a hit with them.

^Is that a picture of a GateKeeper piece, then? Nice recall. More and more evidence is piling up. I'm almost disappointed in us lol.

^ I am not sure, unless X-WORKS has a different meaning and is unrelated to where it is going.

So I guess it proves nothing. The Job numbers are different.

Each Coaster B&M produce will have a separate job number (ie raptor would have had a seperate job number but may have had the same X-Works as a customer as Gatekeeper) - so job numbers are fairly irrelevant in this case.

I feel like Cedar Point or Cedar Fair would be the customer, not B&M. Isn't that all they produce at that plant? It's not like it would be worth putting a codename for B&M on every single piece they make.

X-Works means it's a parts only delivery, it's someone other then the fabricators job to install it. Rides are almost entirely purchased X-Works.

Rides are purchased from a manufacturer along with a set of installation specifications. From there it's usually handed over to a general contractor to install. The general contractor will then sub out the concrete work, iron work, electrical work, etc out to various companies who install everything according to the plans. Different manufacturers do different things, some provide the process control cabinets and all the fittings and one just has to connect it all up, others just provide "this is the order of operations build your own system best of luck, k, thx bye."

The parks have a lot of choices when it comes to this arrangement. Some of the chain parks have their own ride installation teams which are made up of senior folks. Others just want to pay a single price for a ride and deal directly with the OEM who then turns it over to a general contractor they hire to handle the project. I have seen it go both ways.

Tony just tweeted. 9 PM, Celebration Plaza. He said be there to make history. Because Cedar Point lately has liked to announce their coasters in the location the coaster will be, and since there is a huge plot of land close by, pretty confirmed.

Keep in mind history could be anything. It could be the amusement industry's history or the park's. For all you know it could be a Larson Loop as it would be the first in the history of the park.

So yea still vague.

Tony likes to surprise people, so no Larson Loop would come! ;)

Worst. Surprise. Ever.

It would be like Cedar Point were teaming up with Six Flags to disappoint coaster enthusiasts all over the USA.

Maybe Valravn is a ruse and it'll be Smiling Poo Emoji: The Ride! That would explain the colors chosen.

If they're claiming to make history it has to at least be something pretty significant I would think.

Looks like VR may also be making its way into the park in 2016! The media has received these in the mail, and this page exists on Cedar Point's website.

In addition, this app is available in the Google Play store already, and it included this screenshot from the app. Looks like a ride logo to me!

Well it looks like the app was hacked, seems to confirm the rumors:

According to the source of the hack, will be tallest and fastest dive coaster; however no stats were mentioned. Layout is as follows: 180 degree turn out of the station, up the lift and 90 degree turn to holding brake. Large drop into an Immelmann, then turn up into MCBR. Second vertical drop into the dive loop, followed by a zero-g into a banked helix. Finale with an airtime hill and turn to the brakes. Looks pretty solid in my opinion, can't wait for the hi-quality animations!
