This website says that chang is going to be opened at six flags great america under the new name Green Lantern, but i'm not sure how credible this is.

Nooooooo.... Iron Wolf will go! Noooooooooooooooooo.......... curse you Six Flags! They'll get rid of a piece of history. Relocate it to Great Adventure!

they are probibly going to put "chang" or whatever it will be, where the spaceship ride thing (never been on it, don't know the name), they did remove it this off-season.

Chang is a much better ride than Iron Wolf (and anything else at Great America)....Wouldn't be too much of a loss.

Personally I think they're just using it as an excuse to kill Iron Wolf and have Iron Wolf be "reborn" or something.

I hope to god they don't put a crappy soundtrack in the ride.

It is really starting to annoy me how many people think just beacause Chang is comming, Iron Wolf has to go. There is nothing wrong with Iron Wolf. They even use it to train their ride ops. If they really wanted a new ride that size, they would put it where splashwater falls was.

Parks have multiple sit down coasters, why not stand ups?

Because it's just odd. It's like having a Mcdonalds and burgerking in the same park. They are basically the same, but one of them is better, so the other have very little use.

They have two mice as it is. La Ronde has two inverts.

Chang and Iron Wolf are different enough where they can be together. Their layouts and how they feel are completely different. And McDonalds and Burger King both suck...I wouldn't say one is better than the other.

^I'm not saying it's impossible. Hershey park has two (or three) GCI's as it is. It's just not smart. If they have the opportunity to move Iron Wolf to a park that could use it, it would be better(smarter) than to have two coasters of the same style in one park.

They also had two Arrow corkscrew coasters for years. Shockwave and Demon. So they could totally have two stand ups. I don't see a problem with it at all.

The difference between having 2 sit-down coasters and 2 standups is that standup coasters are more specific, while sit-downs cover a much broader range of coasters. I can all but guarantee that the GP will see the similarity between the 2 rides and wonder why in the hell the park put in "something that looks exactly the same as that other ride over there".

On the other hand, if they did remove Iron Wolf, they could easily brand Chang as a complete overhaul of Iron Wolf, and the GP would never know the difference.

This is similar to Shockwave and Demon I think though, as long as they don't push/market the standup angle as much as whatever theme they're going to do. Iron Wolf is tiny and Chang is huge, and they'll be on opposite ends of the park, so it won't be a problem I don't think. Moving Iron Wolf would be dumb as transport and setup would be pretty expensive (this is a major part of what a coaster costs....moving rides isn't cheap). And I can't think of any parks except maybe Over Texas that would have room for something as huge as Chang, and don't already have something similar. And by similar I don't mean exclusivly standups because really Chang and Iron Wolf are completely different in size and profile. I think Chang is more similar to the Medusas, Superman Krypton Coaster or Riddler based on size and layout more than it is Iron Wolf. It might fit at St. Louis, but I'm not sure. It is really a huge ride that takes up a ton of land.
