Hey guys,
Today I went downstairs to my old toys and school stuff. I found a layout drawing of a huge coaster. I think I made this about 7 years ago now. I remember that I draw these layouts before I had NL.So I had these coasters in my head but could not make them real or recreate them in NL.
Here's a piture I took from the drawing:
So on this picture there are two layouts. One, as I remember, was called Thunder-Storm-Runner (the lower drawing)...I don't know why I took this name back then but I think it sounds pretty cool and fits to the layout. So the layout of Thunder-Storm-Runner is pretty orthogonal but I think it looks epic! It features a Top-Hat, a inclined cobra-roll, some 0g-rolls and other cool elements.
So I decided to recreate Thunder-Storm-Runner. I don't know if I can make it with the same layout as on the drawings because I think the track is too long and the train doesn't make it through the end. Perhaps I'll put another launch in there so that we have enough speed on the ride.
Well now I started to build it in NL and finished the launch with the tophat, the inclined cobra-roll, the first two 0g-rolls and two MCBR's. The came up with the name back then: grey track, siver supports, grey-blue train, neon-yellow restrains and light blue suspension.
Pics
Tell me what you think of this ride...perhaps you can post some pics of your childhood dream layouts [:D] If you have some questions about the layout ask me...I know that the names of the layout-parts on the picture are in german so if you want to know what they mean...just ask me!
