That could work maybe...I agree it'll get to cluttered having so many auctions going on at once...there is bound to be some confusion. And also I agree that we shouldn't cut a deadline and not allow someone to bid on a ride they want or even put it out there to start. Once it gets going I think it will be a little easier, it's just so confusing now because everyone wants so many different rides at the start.
And by "limit the number of auctions" I mean ban any new auctions until the number of active auctions is down to a manageable number, and then allow something like 1 a day or something. Or at the end of any given day take the highest starting bid and make that one official. That way it's not a scramble to start an auction at midnight.
My suggestion : Just allow no new auctions the next week or two. And from then on, allow only one auction per member each week, as originally intended.
It's still going to compound on itself that way, though, I'm afraid. Once the first week is over and there aren't any completed auctions (entirely possible given how things are going at this point), people are going to make new auctions and it'll be right back up at 20-25 open auctions.
^yeah, then possibly wait more weeks until the number is low enough before new auctions can be made... I just think it would be unfair to some people if we limit the auctions to a fixed number, some might squeeze their auctions in and others might not. No problem for me though.
Except a wall of text tomorrow, I'm thinking about restart the game with new rules. It's still just a big maybe but the game is to cluttered as it is and it would be more fair to give everyone the same chance.
