Anyone know what ride they're on? First I thought something at Blackpool but no luck. I think I see a Galaxi, Wild Mouse, or Jet Star-type ride in the background? I even thought Cyclone for a moment but if I'm seeing things right, that drop looks pretty wonky. I don't know of any woodies with a first drop quite like that. Any ideas?

I think we need to talk about why you are looking at a Tampon ad before figuring out the coaster name LOL

Grand National was the first thing that popped in my head but as you said it's nothing at Blackpool.

That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.

Well if you read the ad the company is based in New Jersey, so I figure we can rule out the UK and assume it would be somewhat local.

I initially figured it was somewhere in Riverview Park, which used to be in Chicago because of the body of water in the backround. It's definitely not the Bobs though nor do I think it's the other rides from Riverview. Doesn't make sense spatially either since Riverview wasn't so close to the lake.

Because I initially thought it was Chicago but looked kinda shitty relative to it, that usually indicates that it's NYC instead. Old bad Chicago always looks the worst, while NYC excels at being the worst of average.

The 180 degree turn as a first drop should be a clue, and metal holding up the handrails. It is not the Thunderbolt (old one) or Cyclone, but I want to say it's the Tornado from Coney Island, which I didn't know existed until now. The ride existed until the mid to late 70's which matches the extreme 70's look of the picture. The large tower in the middle of the coaster is absent in the photo however. The Ebay picture does not include it though in the picture within the links I posted below. Not many photos of this ride exist but factoring in the metal and first drop leads me to believe this is probably it.

It was from some terrible place like Atlantic City. Looks too crammed and unhappy to be from California.
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"
