That's another good one...I wish I coulda rode that.

And I know this one technically could be rebuilt but Big Dipper from Geauga...I really loved that ride and I hope someone can reopen it.

I know this is not a roller coaster, but White Water Landing @ CP. Even though the replaced it with what I think is one of the best rides in the world, they have not been able to replace it, and Shoot the Rapids this year was a huge mistake.

In my Crystal Beach-The Good Old Days you can read the reactions of people who rode the Cyclone and Comet at Crystal Beach Amusement Park.www.whitedeath.com

Agree with Magnum Force at Flamingoland. Preferred it over Bullet.
Black Hole at Alton? Should of paid the money, kept it open for 5 more years. Instead of having an empty plot of land/tent sat there.

They should never have changed the original Vampire Ride (Chessington) trains over to the floorless purple uglies we have now.

Comet is still running at the Great Escape.

Anyways, I wish Shockwave was still open. Superman: Ultimate Flight just sucks.

nope,it truly sucked.. it would suck so bad at one park that they'd move it to another one so everyone in the area could experience it's suckiness, then it made it's way to magic mountain, where it achieved ultimate suck status..

Pretty scary how many of these I've ridden...

Coasters I've ridden that have since been removed (NOT counting Galaxis and the like, else this would be even longer):

Big Bad Wolf
Corkscrew (MB Pavillion)
Drachen Fire
Great American Scream Machine
Hercules
High Speed Thrill Coaster
Hurricane (MB Pavillion)
Hypersonic XLC
Laser
Python (SFA)
Python (BGT)
Shockwave
Steel Phantom
Viper (SFoG)
Viper (SFGAm)
Whirlwind (Knoebel's)
Wild Maus (BGW)

I am sad that hypersonic is gone. It was worth the wait because of the launch itself! It was awsome! And it isnt that rough i rode it enough times to know.

I had forgot about Black Hole, that was a great ride, magnum force was a good ride aswell but there was something about the crude design and ride of the bulet that appealled to me more. I am sure that magnum force was rehomed but could be wrong. think the bullet went to coaster heaven tho :(

I think this topic has the wrong name, it should be "coasters I wish I rode but never got to and never will".

I'm not sure, there are rides that I wanted to go on (like Viper at SFGAd) but didn't and feel that I didn't miss much based on what people have said.

Hypersonic XLC.. although not a great ride it brought so many people to the park when they advertised it right, that's what made me find kings dominion/ what made me want to go there. Just say straight up and straight down and show a picture and the GP go wild... A dumb business move I think. And that launch....

As far as Hypersonic goes yea the launch was pretty good...I just expected it to be smoother and I thought it was too short. Just my opinion LOL. I'm glad I rode it don't get me wrong...I just wouldn't list it as a favorite of mine.

i considered saying steel phantom for novelty's sake, but i prefer phantom's revenge over it by a longshot (as in, ocarina of time longshot).

yeah, I'd like to have the old steel phantom back too.

But, for those who are saying Magnmum Force, It still operates at a different park, so it's not totally dead. (BTW was it really called
3er Looping during it's tenure at that malaysian park?)

I never got to ride the original Phantom and I know how alot loved it and others hated it...but I'd love to ride it just to compare the two.

On a side note...I thought I heard a few years back that a zoo in Toronto I think was considering rebuilding Drachen Fire but with modifications? I don't know who was going to build it but I think it would be good because it was such a unique ride.

G-force a POS? It looks pretty cool! That Bent Cuban Eight looks killer.

I think G-Force looks cool too but I wouldn't know lol.

Also at Dorney I wish the Flying Dutchman was still around. It used to be where the Ferris Wheel and the Chance Carousel are now. Why does Dorney feel the need for a second regular carousel? And the wheel could be put somewhere else...IDK I know it would be mild by today standards but I wish I could have ridden it.
