Extremely not bad.

I have to say, they always had a problem with my account and would only let you download about two rides before telling you why your account's downloading function has been deactivated. Then they tell you what you need to do in order restore the function, which requires you to do XYZ, which requires a function that they also deactivated.

It was very strange.

It IS a shame it is gone. The exchange setup was brilliant, and almost all of the really good talent is based from that site.

Aside from the few pricks on CS, I thought it was/is (depending on future) a nice site. For the people who complain about the 20% rating limit. DEAL WITH IT. It's not that hard to drop a rate on a couple coasters to continue downloading. I don't see any problem with it. Maybe that's why people don't rate that much on here? They aren't forced to.

The rating system used at CS was to help promote communication with builders on how to improve. I thought it worked well.

Unfortunately the world is full of freeloaders who want something with giving nothing in return.

Yep, I agree. I love it how people complain about having to rate 1 in 5 tracks, then turn around and complain that their tracks don't get many ratings. Way to go kids.

CP Maverick, the same point can be argued on those who wont share anything without getting something back. It's the same either way, it's just on which end of the rope you stand on.

I've heard it all before:
"I wont post here because I don't get ratings..."
"I don't want to be forced to rate, that is why I left so and so website..."

It's the same thing from both sides. You can argue either side, neither of which is wrong or right. It's whatever is beneficial to you. I'm in the middle listening to both sides and there is no solution to satisfy all. However, I prefer to satisfy the majority, and that is to not force people to rate. To satisfy the majority is the wise thing to do.

DCS221, I agree with your comment and members here have seen that such complainers have been put on the spot by me posting their ratios. Most who complain openly of not getting enough ratings suffer from them not rating others and well.
