hello, I was just wondering about the contests on Coastercrazy. Does anyone know if anyone can start contests at any time. Or if you have to contact the Coastercrazy staff.

Please respond!

You could run your own contest I would think but it would be independent to CC as a site unless authorized by staff.

I believe that how it works is this: anyone can start a contest, but it will only happen officially if staff approves it.

Also, don't be expecting many people to sign up. We've had some really clever contests in the past that have only had a few participants.

I was thinking that I am a client and you are the designer. I will tell whoever signs up what I want for my park. You have to build the ride I want and if it doesn't meet to my standards I will not except the ride. I was planning on having a little 3D park with a open space for the ride, and also you have to stay within the boundries of the open space.

Does this interest anyone?

Sure, an excellent chance to fail in a public setting.

ok, I will try set up some rules and stuff over the next few days. Hey architec, do you want to make a 3D section of the park with an open space? Because I know I won't be able to make one.

The final round of this year's tournament has start. While you won't win anything, you can still try to build a track in the template if you're in for a nice challenge.

So, I have been thinking about the rules and was hopefully have ArcTec make me some 3D rides and such for this. I was just wondering from you guys, do you think that everyone should have to build the same type of ride? or should I give out different Idea's to different people?

If everyone's ride is a different type how will they compete against each other? Are you planning on doing more than one round?

Same ride, or it will be a bitch to judge. Also, I highly, HIGHLY recommend waiting until the NLT is over, and maybe even a month or so after to start your contest. Multiple contests running at the same time has never worked out well...

ok, when does the NLT end then? I will have to set up some rules also, and it will give me plenty of time to work on the template. (:

it"ll be a month or more before the NLT is over. But that is judging from the previous rounds, now that school will be out when the judges are judging, they won't have finals and stuff in the way.

ok, I am thinking for this contest to have multiple rounds too. Maybe 3 rounds, every round you have to build a different ride for a different park. I will have lots of time to make templates for the contest if I am going to wait. Any other suggestions?

^Yeah, choose less used coaster types like a flying dutchman or something to make it harder.

Well, I want at least one of the times it to be a B&M. But other than that, Maybe a motorbike, Euro-fighter, or Possibly a Flying dutchman. I was also think a GCI woodie too.

Make it a B&M flyer, that would be interesting. Or do a B&M wing walker (or whatever they call them). Flying Dutchman is a good idea. But for the rides, try to focus on the new types that aren't used a lot. We also never see a lot of standups anymore.

I've always wanted to see a contest based on Maverick, but I'd be up for really any contest.
