I'm not sure about this...maybe that if you have flip flops you need to go bare foot?

I guess that "Kinda" makes sense... But triangular numbers?

I guess the 50 to 70 could maybe be referring to the height? Although this would seem small I think. Or maybe the 300 to 500 refers to that but that still doesn't explain the triangular numbers.

I think this is a sign that Cedar Point is on its downfall. Being on an island doesn't really help its chances of expanding very far. Yes, they can tear down rides to build new ones, but what happens when all the old rides are gone? Start the process over again? The way I see it, this yo-yo ride rip off Cedar Point is planning on getting is just them taking up the last little bit of space they have to try to pull people in, but in reality, no one is going to flock the park for this particular ride.

They could stand to lose several no problem.

It more that the hype does not match up to what the ride is. Since Maverick, they have kind of forced the new ride into being an over-hyped guessing game. Although they are the World's Roller Coast, I am in no way arguing they should put in a coaster EVERY year and just fill the park with coasters. That is not how they have become the successful park they are today although it is a very large part. I don't think it is so much that we are so disappointed that it's not a coaster, it's more that it was turned into the talk of the town for a simple log flume last year and looks as if that is the direction this is heading. I think it took some of the focus away from the 2 Intimidator which are both excellent coasters, because more people were hoping for a coaster at CP. I don't mind a coaster every 5 years or so and flats in between, but I do slightly disagree with all of the hype that gets put into a ride that people will not know the park for. MF, TTD, and Mav are all rides that people say "I WANNA GO TO CEDAR POINT TO RIDE THAT!" No one is saying "LET'S GO TO CP TO RIDE SHOOT THE RAPIDS!"

It is not solely a coaster park, but it thrives on its coasters. Eventually they could have a great coaster coming and some may be like "Ahhh it's probably another over hyped flat ride." I know I would never say that, but some may. I am all for the clues and little games, but it has grown to be the focus of everyones talking during August and it does not seem to be working the way they hoped for STR. STR hardly has long lines. IMO they would have been much better off kind of keeping it under the radar and then springing it on people by surprise, to make it seem more like a "WOW A NEW LOG FLUME!" feeling rather than a let down sort of "AWW CRAP IT'S NOT A COASTER." Because that's what has been expected of these games since Maverick. I am not defending either way I am just trying to play devil's advocate for both sides here.

Either way I am going to happy that they are at least puttting in new rides and can't wait to see a coaster built here soon again.

I said it before, and I'll say it again.

Cedar Point doesn't need another coaster. Apparently an Intamin Giga and Strata, an Arrow Mega, A B&M Standup and Invert, and an Intamin Blitz just for some aren't good enough. "Waaah, Cedar Point didn't get a new coaster, geez they never get anything good anymore"

I agree with the last two post,YES it would be nice to have a new coaster there but:
1.They have more than enough exellent rides there
2.They don't have unlimited place,and expanding in the next years will be quiet hard.
3.The overhyping is for the GP and useless like this race between CP and SFMM,but it can't work without marketing...
The question is:How will CP(try) to expand in the next years?

I could see them possibly filling in part of the lake between the causeway and Cedar Point Rd. and making that parking and then building in the current lot and move the park entrance forward. Other than that there isn't alot of room unless they start to do away with Soak City/Challenge Park, but that in a way takes away from what they have going there.

Well it is identical to the others...same name too...I heard they were having issues with the trademark for "Stratosoar." Maybe the name will change if they get granted the trademark.

While it's not a coaster...it's still a pretty cool ride. I'll deff. be riding if I get to CP this coming summer.

^ I think its a legit ride. Disappointing at first look, but its going to be 300 feet high.
