It's still possible to have sweaty palms that cold. Wind wouldn't change anything. It can't be THAT cold because he'd have on heavier clothing.

^ not necessarily. Because of the climate here, I'm fairly used to cold weather, when it snows and it's around 40F, I still only wear sleeveless tops and 3/4 lengths.

I'm not saying it's impossible for your hands to sweat when it's cold, just less likely

I don't think it has as much to do with temperature as the fight or flight instinct.

Yeah, I'd be wearing heavier clothing too if I was hanging around a thousand feet in the air. Granted they had parachutes.
