Custom Chain Lift Sound

Hi all,
I have always gotten confused on how to make/set up a custom chain lift sound for NL.
I'd like to do something like Kyle Sloane did here.

If anyone can tell me how to properly place and load a custom sound that would be great.

I now have noticed that there is a huge list of coding and I believe one of them is for the chain lift. I just don't know what to do with that code or where to place it.

You have to make a custom environment.

You can do one with the CK, under "NoLimits -> Environment Editor". Put at least a title then some other things if you want, but none are mandatory.

Then, copy both the folder and the text file you created into the "environments" folder of NoLimits. You may have to mess with the compatibily files if you're using Vista or higher.

Now for the sound. It has to be a .wav. Use Audacity to convert it if needed.
Place your .wav file into your custom environment folder.

Then open the text file, and paste those two sentences, remplacing the [...] :

sim.chain.loopsound.path=Environments\[your custom env folder name]\[your sound name].wav
sim.chain.loopsound.db=10000

The second one is for the volume. 0 is the lowest (no sound), 10000 the highest. As it's not very loud, I suggest you to keep the highest value.
