OMG i love DDR. i have it 4 my PS2. i cant do heavy but almost all on standard. (i only started last year)i always do it when im near an arcade that actually has one. all of them have that other game, pump it up, which i agree SUCKS 110%. haha. for those that think DDR is dorky, its not. its a great work out and actually physically challenging once u get up there in the levels. so try it before u trash it [;)]

I have the original PSX DDR, DDR Disney Mix and Konamix. On the computer, I have Stepmania with tons of songs. I went and bought a PSX-USB converter so I can hook up the pads to the computer. It works well.

Started in February and can only do a few songs on heavy. I play occasionally so my progress has been fast.

Anyone who can play those uber fast songs on heavy obviously has little life outside of DDR ;) Either your reflexes are the fastest on record OR you have the songs memorized which seems to be the case. And memorizing all of those steps, while impressive, well, heh.

Am i the only one that doesnt find it impressive. Is DDR one of those crappy dance mat games??? Cos if it is they are really bad, no offence to anyone who plays them. I just dont like them, they are stupid and pointless an i would much prefer to make a proper dance than jump around on arrows. [lol] But i suppose it is up to others who like them. Its like i love proper dancing, not many lads say that, most hate it. But who cares everyones got there own opinion.

And if DDR isnt one of those weird dance mat games or something of that sort i have just made myself look a fool. [lol] Oh well, i do most of the time anyway. [lol]

Oh, dont get me wrong, I actually like real dancing too. However, there is a link between the two - the beat. I took 2 classes onboard a cruise ship - Salsa and another one and had I been into DDR at the time, I would have been able to move my body to the beat MUCH easier.

I think now if my girlfriend and I ever go to take some real dance lessons itll be MUCH easier.

True, its not real dancing at all. But the corrdination it takes and just having to hear and learn the beats behind the music takes some doing and helps you with other stuff.
