I've only been on one wooden coaster with a Gerstlauer train...and when I rode, it was the smoothest woodie (and one of the largest) I had been on. Just saying.

^I'm assuming that was your first woodie then? [lol] I find Gerstlauer trains really really uncomfortable, especially on the stress they put on the lower back and (indirectly) the neck. There's not enough leg room for me, either.

EDIT: meaning Gerstlauer wooden trains.

It's just a matter of opinion and I don't care for them. I'm not saying he's wrong.

^that is true, with CCI. I mean, that Boss at SFSL is a great ride, but its so damn rough and painful thanks to the Gerstlauer trains.

That's why you hate Gerstlauer? Because of their trains, not their rides?

Like I said, coming from someone that would truly know. Try riding a Euro-fighter or Spinner. Most comfortable seats I may have ever experienced, along with great ride experiences.

Im totally on S&S' ****, but if they could just keep slamming out launchies like intamin has in the past 7 years, they truly would be the king. And im all over Arrow, because their rides may hurt, but they always were a innovative company.

P.S. As of 2002, Its S&S Arrow.

I couldn't agree more. The seats in a Gerstlauer coaster are by far the most comfortable I've had the pleasure to sit in, there restraints do not restrict the view and are also very snug.

Supercell, I have been on 6 Wooden coasters. One by every wooden coaster company bar the Gravity Group and I must say that the trains by Gerstlauer are the better ones. The tunnel on Mammut was great too. I can't wait to visit tripsdrill again this year.

^The 6-seat trains and 4-seat trains by Gerstlauer have a great difference though. 6-seaters being the clearly more comfortable ones. I can see how the 4-seaters may cause discomfort, but it definitely doesn't level down their status. All other trains by Gerst seemed to be top of the line in their comfort level; those 4-seat woodie trains must've just fallen far from the tree.

However if I'm not mistaken, I don't think Gerst has used those 4-seaters on a woodie for a while.

yeah, i know, like tony hawks big spin, i mean, its smooth and almost soundless, but I like to go for the huge thrills, spinners don't really do that. I'm just saying I don't like the trains. I would like to try a Euro-fighter though.

The one at Nickalodean Universe (MOA) is pretty basic, but decent... The first drop is great because your so close to the ceiling and the plunge is soo tight. But the rest of the ride is just kinda meh... Eurofighters have great potential but a lot of them just lack a booming finish... I would have to say,

Intamin just because they have such a wide range of coasters.

See how the restraints kill all the leg room? Note how you have to keep your legs very tightly together for the restraint to go onto your waist. I'm 6' 1" and my knees already go to the back of the seat in front of me, so along with having to keep them close together I feel very cramped at all times. This also goes along with virtually no foot room, so that's why I don't like them. I agree that most of their steel trains look very comfy, I just don't like the 4-seat wooden trains.

i don't have a problem with the legroom on the trains, its just they are really rough and they could at the least put actual padding in them. thats one of the worst things about them. It's just way too hard.

I love Arrow. I like it rough and scary. The Smoothness of most steel coasters today really do take out that scare factor. All though it does add on to the experience, they just don't scare me as much as the rough Arrow coasters do.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

I'd have to say B&M. In my opinion they build the most impressive coasters, at least here in Europe. Maybe I think like this, because we don't have a lot of them over here.

I wish I could have 2 votes! B&M for steel, and GCI for wood.
