As some of you probably know, I have been shuffling back and forth lately between Canada and the USA and I was thinking about the little differences between the two that I have noticed.

I'm not talking about the obvious cultural and political differences, but the more subtle differences like the example below..

Feel free to post your own observations about different things from different countries.

Here in Canada we get our milk in a bag...

Heck if I know [lol]

It does take up a lot less room in the fridge compared to a gallon jug.

Might have something to do with the fact that American milk has to be fully pasteurized in order to make it to the shelves thanks to the FDA, while Canadian milk doesn't. I don't know what that has to do with bags versus cartons, but it might have something to do with it.

It's not fully cleaned. Aren't you don't live in filthy Canada?

The brown cows we use also contribute slightly to the brownish hue.

There's a song by Five Iron Frenzy called "Oh, Canada"; one of the lines is "We all think it's kind of a drag that you have to go there to get milk in a bag" [:p]

back in elementary school, we had little versions of those milk bags. we would stab them with a strawl and drink up. they did away with them pretty fast though, probably cause all the kids would stab threw both sides and have puddles of milk on their trays. it was pretty funny.

^God, I hated that. I had milk bags for the first time in 7th grade, after a whole childhood of cartons, and the bags drove me insane. Every time I punctured one of them, the milk would come shooting out the straw and right into my face.

One thing annoys me between the UK and other countries. Why is the car brand 'Vauxhaul' called 'Opel' and have a gayer logo in other countries throughout the world
