disable terrain view in 3d view and top view...?

Anyone figure out how to view in plain grid mode rather than showing the terrain "terraformed" in the editor? I would it to be just like front view is with only grid and no terrain, makes it easier to build. An on / off option would be nice. If someone knows a way to turn it off, please let me know!

hmm I don't think there is a way unless you completly wipe out the terrain. The only option I think you have is if the terrain texture is visable or not

the grid goes somewhere till 70-75 meters, about halfway the editor. I noticed it also but i imagine the grid by myself and work with the numbers from hight etc...maybe it would be an improvement if we could have the grid on 150 meters so you don't see the terraforming going through...

I like it showing the terrain in to view. It's convinient for things like tree placing and knowing if your track goes over teh terrrain. Using "show inside 3d" doesn't work that well.

under the desplay menu, unselect the 'show textures' option.

that only doesn't show the texture, it doesn't remove the terrain here...
I like the terrain in the editor but i don't like if the terrain is higher then 75 meters that it's going through the grid [:(]
