THe US still has to wait for the air dates. I imagine they'll do the steel and wooden one's together. (steel hasn't been officially confirmed, but it has been confirmed that Discovery Channel is going out to the Tatsu construction site next month, so it's got me wondering."

Got this off the UK site.

"And travel across the Atlantic to meet three families who have invested million of dollars in a race to build and open the biggest wooden rollercoaster in the World."

Im getting vibes off that quote above and its telling me that its going to show 'Shivering Timbers'.
Lets remember that Michingans Adventure is run by a Family who opened a petting zoo way back. They eventually swapped what they call 'Rabbits for Rides' and started piling in the money until it became a theme park.
I assume that the program will show ST @ MA because its the only park i know for certain is run by a Family or Families.
Does anybody else feel this???

^ clearly you are retarded.[lol]
FYI that park is ran by Cedar Fair now, since 1998 as a matter of fact.

And it has already been released that the rides will be The Voyage, El Toro, and Kentucky Rumbler, we've known about this for ahile.

I watched it earlier, it is a pretty good show with some nice footage of the construction of the 3 woodies.

Some notes from the show;

Kentucky Rumbler - $4 000 000
-76000 meters of wood
-owner mentioned maybe if this project works out that there is a possibility of another one in 4 to 6 years
-goal, launch the coaster before the others (voyage, el toro)
-when constructing the track, GCI has a max error range of only 1.5mm
-final 4 names from name contest Bodacious, Kentucky Rumbler, Twisted Timber and Mad Dog
-32 crossovers

Voyage - $8 000 000
-holiday world has a target of reaching one million guests this summer
-turn around was still being designed as the lift hill was already being built
-70 000-80 000 bolts used

El Toro - $11 000 000
-all track and supports are precut and prefit at the factory in Germany
-estimated that actual track construction can be done in 20% of the time of traditional track laying methods

[lol] I watched some rollercoaster program last night on the travel channel. When the program was made Goliath at SFMM was the tallest coaster in the world. Millenium Force was being built and so was Valhalla at Blackpool [lol] It was actualy really intresting about Valahalla, it showed the ride with POV without the outer shell being on the ride, so it was all light inside and really wierd to see. Also had a good section on Spiderman at Univeral Studios
