an interview at IAAPAreveals that Drayton Manor Theme Park are to be installing a Vekoma Junior Boomerang Coaster for their 2011 season.

In a short interview, Peter Van Bilsen of Vekoma Rides says:
??????2010 was quite a busy year, but I think, we are in the Rollercoaster Market, so every year has ups and downs. For 2010 we still have about 8 new installations, so that??????s really good. Ones like the Junior Boomerang for Drayton Manor, we have some Indoor Coasters in Eastern Europe, we??????re doing a project for Turkey, and we??????re also doing 3 confidential projects.??????

??????For the 2011 & 2012, I think the market is really getting back, it??????ll be very busy I think, for every supplier. People are really having the confidence again. After a few years being slow, new projects will come up.??????

What is the difference between a Jr. boomerang and the standard boomerang?

I thought all "original" boomerang models are the same size

Apparently Vekoma figured out how to fit it all into a single suitcase.

I thought it was all in one suitcase already, including the air pump needed to inflate it.

Nope. The older boomers required four-five cargo containers.

I can't even find it on Vekoma's website? Maybe it is a junior coaster that happens to go both forward and backward?

unfortunetly Freddie i dont think it will be one of them as they already have troublesome trucks which is a kiddie coaster, however thats the only picture and reference i could find to boomerang apart from the giant ones.

this is now confirmed to be themed to ben 10 after this sign has appeared in the park

track has started to arrive and its not a boomerang at all, its a non inverting inverted coaster and vekoma and drayton will not release any details on it any further. taken from an interview with vekoma CEO:-
"Second, we will be introducing a Family Shuttle Coaster that allows children to enjoy the thrills of running forwards and backwards- all in one coaster ride"

Ahhh, Ben 10. I used to love that show. The new one where they are grown up sucks though.

Found this on Coaster Force, yes, I use Coaster force for news and pics, but, they got nothing on our exchange[:D] looks like a lot of fun for a family coaster.
