lol i love the stuff it says @ the bottom, of the program, thats so awesome.

about the actual program:
tia better stop making programs like this, now you can creat perfect heartlines, flawless turnes and countless other gr8 stuff @ the touch of a button, that is un-fair! and it realy makes the game less fun.

I just finished using it. Its really bad IMO. The zgr isnt that good at all, even after playing with the correct settings for 10+ mins. Its better to actually create it with your hand and mouse then to click a button on your element. On my inverted coaster coming up (hint hint), youll see a damn near perfect zgr that was perfected over 2 months when i worked at batman: the ride at sfgam. I bid it good day.

shorty, have you tryed the formula imput? altho it is very advanced it will let you make a perfect zgr, 100% perfect. dont rate it if you havent used all the features. true, it is still kinda un-fair tho.

the formula part is kinda like Rendunzelizer's Purgatorium in many ways, and im sure you use that some... so y not use this?

hmm, well, I guess Ole's dream of an easy smooth ride is coming true, but I don't know, I guess if I want to make a helix, I'll use this program, otherwise, I can do everything else just fine.

Remember that the measures are in METRIC. Sizes in meters, speeds in m/s.

To convert MPH to m/s, use (mph / .61) / 3.6

I am actually kind of pissed off right now (sorry I am moody). Tia hasnt made not 1 tool for mac users that are available to PC users, and it is really a HUGE dissadvantage. Not only is it unfair, but mac users have to put ALOT more effort into their tracks because of this. I really hope she makes a mac version. Wouldnt it double or at least bring in more $?

If I don't use this tool, I can always use buster's elements even if they aren't perfect. [:)]

At least they even made NL for mac. Plus they got 1.35 ahead of time, which has some very useful features. Us window users have to wait mounths for 1.5. But yeah, you're probably correct.

Sorry but I don't use any added tools to create tracks. Smoothness of rides is just way over rated. How many actual real life coasters have you rode that was like a sheet of glass? I like the tracks where someone put some time and effort into it and not just clicked a few buttons. To me there is no fun in that. Plus, doesn't that make the competitions alittle off balanced?

Somebody already has converted the Calculator for Mac, I'll try to find the link now.

http://www.thehiltons.net/nolimits/maccoastercalc/

I know it aint much, but why dont you give Tia an email and ask why? A member called RiscIt on CoasterSims converted the calculator to Mac, maybe he could help you out.

Back On topic, The program is great, no doubt about it but it does spoil the whole point of NoLimits. Before I enjoyed the challenge of creating elements with Hand and Mouse, not just a click of a button. Its a great learning tool, and I find it very useful if used with the Construction kit to export heartline paths. One flaw I can notice is that the elementary program uses so many control points that when in NoLimits, it gives such a messed up Track Spine its unbelievable. If your wanting to create a zero-g for inverts, change the heartline path to -1.

Hmm... I allways thought the whole point of NoLimits was to simulate coasters. I guees that's why it's called a Simulator in the first place.

If you get too many segments, just tell the program to produce less. It can make 2,4,8,16,32 or 64 segments if you want a certain amount. Or you could work with the precision to get numbers in between.

Buster.

I think this is great. I haven't tried the program yet, but if it does what you say it cna do, then it sound great. I don't use Nl becasue I don't wan't to and don't have the patience to smooth everythiong and make my coasters. I like the design proces and makeing a good lay-out. Not using several hours just to get one element smooth. So I think this is great.

Yes I know biggs, thanks though. I mean the calculator is a neat tool, but it just isnt much. Anyway I have already PMed tia asking here about a mac version and she said she has no access to a mac to convert the tools and she has no plans to convert em.[:(!]

How do they work? Are they stand alone programs separate from no limits? or do they integrate into no limits?

they are stan-alone programs, execpt for woodmagic, her wodden support maker thing, that one is integrated into no limits, and its included with the game, so you wont find it on her site.

Why are so many people so negative about designing "perfect" elements? Like Buster said, NL is a coaster sim. Real-life coasters aren't done by hand either, you know. And saying that from now on things will be done "by a mouseclick" is just plain nonsense. Getting a ride very smooth and unique takes quite some time in the Elementary as well. Just the time is spend on math equations instead of dragging nodes around in NL...
