Epic Game Intros

Anyone that plays a video game knows that the one thing you see first, the intro, is what makes you want to play the game. This is a list and showing for the best ever. Post what YOU think is the best video game intro for a game.

The Technology of this time (2001) made it seem implausible to make such an epic intro, especially for a PS2 game nontheless! But they did, and succeeded - especially within the first minute of the video, a beautiful simulation of firing up an engine, which is the most epic part of the intro, and is what caught my eye. This intro got me excited to play.

GT3 A-spec really was the first PS2 game I ever got, and to me is the best GT game physics-wise, and it is still one of my favorites.

And of course, I always look forward to this intro! [:)]

K, this is not a post to say other's choices are lame, it's our favorites, you don't have to sh*t all over them! Same goes to you CKMWM!

It's pretty lame

You're pretty lame, and imagine, I held that in all this time.

I always admired the graphics of the gran turismo games. I can't wait for GT5 to come out (can't play it immediately, but I can drool over it a bit more). In my opinion, they have the most realistic graphics for their time of any game. Granted, it's much, much easier to make perfect graphics on a racing game than it is on a, say, FPS, but GT5's preview graphics look literally photorealistic.

this one has taken up many hours of my life over the last few weeks.

^Played it for about 15 hours when it came out and haven't touched it since. It's a great game though, I'll have to try to get back into it sometime.

best intro ever. it really kicks the game off into the mood of the ghostbusters movies and is exactally what i would want to see when ghostusters 3 is released.
i love the ghostbusters movies and i still have alot of the toys from when i was a kid and just the theme kicking in as ecto1 comes into view makes me feel awsome every time. i love it and it is the best intro to a game ever
