i know this coaster has been sitting in the bone yard of frontier city since the six flags days. i have read reports that the quick removal of this ride from atroworld resulted in some major damages that cannot be repaired. but....have any of you heard of any chance that this classic arrow mine ride might get rebuilt on the frontier city property since PARC management is in control? i hate that some classic steel rides are just rotting in fields. i wished i could have ridden BIG BEND before it was removed from SFOT. but...i was a child at the time and that thing scared me. i hated to hear that ride was sold for scrap.
thanks.

i know that greased lightnin is still waiting to be installed at joyland in lubbock tx. the park worked hard to make it happen only to run into installation issues with the land. it turns out that that park is supposedly located on top of some ancient indian lands. anytime an attraction that requires extensive foundation work is proposed, extensive soil samples are required to ensure that no artifacts of any kind lie beneith the ground. they supposedly have ground moisture content issues as well. i know that when mayan mindbender was installed here....the park had to wait for some critical parts that had been lost in the removal of astroworld. the arms of the gunslinger were severely bent and had to have extensive repair as well. thanks for the info....i have fond memories of frontier city as a child. it always seemed to be the theme park that "tried". from what i have read, parc management is in dire straights with the bad economy so who knows what the future holds.
on a side note, i find it odd that the nightmare has been closed for years. not sure what the issues are with that coaster. it seems like a waste of space to just have something sitting there "NOT OPEN".

Well, hopefully they do something with that ride. It's been rusting away in an open field for the past 3 years.
