Quote from Fix the EXpedition Everest Yeti and Effects! Facebook page.

"Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney Imagineers have created an engineering marvel, a massive Audio Animatronic known as the Yeti. Unfortunately, the Yeti no longer works. For over two years this overly hyped up Yeti has been broken. It's now leaning and getting worse by the day. This is NOT the show quality that Walt Disney would've stood for, nor should it be the level of quality from the Disney Company.

Now is time to take action. Annual Passholders, Guests, Disney Fans, all need to help promote the "FIX ME" slogan for the Yeti. Please take time to advocate your frustration to Guest Relations in person. If you're not visiting the parks, sign the petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/yeti8978/petition.html) or email WDW Guest Relations (wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com).

If you want to make the greatest affect, take time to type or write out a letter and "snail" mail to WDW Guest Relations. Here is the address you would want to send any letters to:

WDW Guest Communications Executive Offices
PO Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-0040

Please take time to help fix the Yeti & all of the broken Expedition Everest effects!"

Hah. Sounds like Disney to spend $100 million on a ride and not even take care of it.

They should scrap it and put in a Mega Lite. The US needs a mega lite.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

^ I second that idea! With some theming, those rides could be even more amazing.

Disney build a mega-lite? Or even an Intamin for that matter, isn't gonna happen.

What the hell are you talking about? Expedition Everest is absolutely awesome! I can't believe you guys who probably have never even been on it are wanting to scrap it! You are all retarded!

There should be more rides like Expedition Everest in my opinion.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

it's not that Expedition Everest is bad, it's just that a Mega Lite would be awesome and doesn't have a yeti which can easily break.

Edit: And are you honestly saying that it feels like an $100,000,000 ride when you ride it? That money could have honestly been used far more effectively to build a ride which would easily reach anyone's top 10s.

No one actually knows why the Yeti is broken. Possibly design flaws that were looked over.

I think the ride should just be re-themed... Get rid of the yeti and use a different back-drop story behind the ride. I think the mountain theme makes the ride absolutely awesome, especially the reverse helix inside the mountain.

Also, Slosprint, Disney is known for themed rides... That's what makes them so family-friendly and exciting to younger audiences. A 100+ tall, unthemed coaster designed for thrills only won't sit well in a Disney park like that.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

All you guys fail.

There are better things worth spending money on, maintaining the Yeti unfortunately isn't one of them.

Disney HAVE built Intamin Rides. Several. But if you want to limit down to roller coasters, there's California Screamin', Raging Spirits, and Indiana Jones Temple of Peril

rcking04, I think Slosprint's idea was a themed Mega Lite. Still though, it would greatly break the thrill barrier.

I'm a teenager go suck a cock. Oh, and a 40 year old virgin is someone who likes to protest about the smallest details, stickers, fountains, malfunctioning animatronics, a.k.a., you.

In some cases if you want a good themed ride, the track has to have meaning; formulated for a purpose. Envelop it, Immerse it, and you have a class ride. Add the thrill (which Disney unfortunately lacks, but not many people can theme rides like them), and you have a world class ride.

You don't just tear down Everest for a Megalite, Slos and A7X.
