Sometimes I love this site...this is not one of those times. First off, the simple fact that we have a shitload of racists on this site should not imply that every topic about a kick-ass roller coaster turns into a religious/political debate. I understand if the topic was started with a post about some youtube video about something political (in fact I rather enjoy reading your points of view in those topics), but something about a roller coaster??? Come on guys, man up and stop being stereotypical, racist douchebags. The roller coaster community should be united on a level above our underlying political and religious beliefs because the stuff we care about isn't at all tied to those things.

Its not very smart to call a group of people ignorant for calling another group ignorant. Thats the pinnacle of hypocrisy. You're life experiences may have given you one view of the way a certain people and thats ok. However, just like there are stupid, psycho extremists christians who basically mirror stupid, psycho extremist muslins, it doesn't mean that one or both is encompassed by that label.

I feel inclined to add my two cents. From my experience, and this is speaking from my experience alone, I have not come across a single benefit that comes exclusively from religion, nor have I seen any reason whatsoever from any religious group, to even begin to imply that their beliefs hold any water whatsoever. With literally thousands of groups out there, each claiming mutual exclusiveness and each holding what they loosely define as "evidence" leaves anyone that is even somewhat sure that theirs is the correct one completely ignorant of all other groups and the completely identical "evidence" they provide. Real, you sent me a PM a while back including one of your reasons for believing, I think it was along the lines of you healing much faster than any doctor thought possible. I am curious as to how you logically got from this, to thinking that it was the work of god, without using at least one logical fallacy. Indeed, I am sure that there are hundreds of religions out there, whose credibility matches your groups', which also claim to hold the answers to this. I could go on and on, but I will end with this; I base my beliefs off of the demonstrable, things that can be demonstrated to me to be true, and which require no speculation labeled "fact". I strongly feel that if my beliefs affect my actions, than they should be as closely matched to reality as possible, which is in my mind the only responsible and intellectually honest thing to do. A famous roman scholar once said "I am not afraid to admit that I do not know what I do not know," which is in my opinion some of the greatest advice anyone has ever given. SO yeah, if you want more you will get more from me lol.
