On monday, january 23rd, two officers on the st petersburg were killed in a standoff with just one suspect. a us marshall was also injured, but is expected to be okay. It all started on a monday morning, when these officers and the Us marshall entered the suspects house to serve an arrest warrent. Yaslowitz went into the attic where the suspect was hiding and was shot. as the other officer tryed to rescu him, he was also shot. yaslowitz was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. Baitinger died at the scene. the suspect was later killed, but the greif of losing these two officers remained at the scene. This topic can be used to pay respect for these two fallen officers, Tom Baitinger and Jeffrey Yaslowitz, who made a difference and served st petersburg well. We will never forget these outstanding officers, and hope they lie in peace.

People will never respect the dangers of a police officer's job and what they do for the general public. I've seen this first hand when I interned for a police department. Hopefully within the next couple of years I can become a police officer, since I recently got my bachelors in criminal justice.

RIP.
