i like suddenly drops![:P]
but the moast work on timing (like 5 sec) [:(]

Um............ i am sure you would be pretty pissed if you were in the back of the line and had to wait for 10 hours to get a ride, and i am sure staying up there for 2 hours is highly uncomfortable, and i am sure if the sun is out, most, if not all people would get sunburn, headaches, and maybe death if you suffer from a heat stroke. And 2 hours would seem to go by forever. Luckily it was overcast on that day so yeah

And on acrophobia, the people somtimes countdown and drop you at random numbers. Other times they might say let me hear you scream, then when you scream it drops, and other times they give you a "tour" and tell you where all the sites are, like if you look to your left you will see deja vu etc. then drops you. Other times they dont say anything, so yeah, it depends who you get

tecnicaly big shot... on top of stratosphere... isnt a drop ride. but the thrill of being so high and the view make it better than power tower which is a bigger ride, just on the ground

Demon Drop at Cedar Point is my favorite by far. It's not the newest or tallest but it's still lots of fun and the line is rarely longer the 10 minutes.

Haha, wow. Well now that this is here, I have to say that Acro is the best. I have been in the old and new seats both with and without the tilt. I like the new seats with tilt the best. Sometimes it tilts farther than other times.

Superman: Tower of Power at SFOT is my favorite. So high and both launched and dropped. Superman: Tower of Power at SFStl has the best air of any I've ridden yet though.

i still miss the good old fashione parachute things at knotts. they took them out when they built supreme sceam, which is a real kick in the pants, but i like what the parachutes did to a skirt.

Bit biased, but I'll say Detonator @ Thorpe Park. Just an amazingly powerful 'shove' as the drop begins. Airtime A++

(It is sounding quite like a dinosaur at the moment though:

Airtime? All drop rides have airtime. The best ones have floater. Why? Because it lasts longer than half a second.

IE: Power Tower and S&S Turbo Drops. What lame attempts at a drop ride. Intamin Drops are by far more classic but more importantly - far better experience.

and why isnt the tower of terror (disney world) on that list? it has the most incredible theming, and amazing story line, terrific special effects and a random drop sequence in pitch darkness. it's awesome!!

...nevermind, i looked again and found it lol.[:I]

Because after the first year when it featured TWO full "drops" (It pulls you down, so its like -1g - not 0g) they neutered it by doing that stupid random drop sequencing.

Basically, its a grown ups Frog Hopper.

The building, themeing, story and the likes are my fave for almost any ride, any where. But the ride...its a shadow of its former self.
