I don't know that Nemesis would be my favorite even if I had ridden it. It does look top 10 to me, but I don't think any steel coaster will ever be my absolute favorite just because I like an out of control ride that throws you around (Boulder Dash and Legend with the unbanked turns) and is just very aggressive/physical. I've yet to ride a steel coaster that gives the out of control feeling that a wood ride does (I think Phantom's Revenge would be closest out of what I have ridden, but it's still not the same), and I'm not sure I ever will.

Wrong [:p]

Nemesis is amazing, and was my favorite coaster until this year. But after riding El Toro everything was changed. Nothing beats El Toro!

Other than El Toro, my favorites are Nitro, Storm Runner, nemesis, Xcelerator, Piraten, Balder, Thunderbird, Avalanche, Phoenix, Boulder Dash and Collossos. A small step under those you probably find S:ROS, Fahrenheit, Olympia Looping, Katun, LiseBergsbanan, Hades and Kingda Ka.
Coaster count: 153
Moving to Singapore in july!

I rode El Toro, and it was automatically my favourite, but when i came home and rode Nemesis.

It's just Nemesis, sorry ;)

I think El Toro is way overrated...I prefer the airtime on Phoenix and the ride experience on Boulder Dash.

I'm one that has to separte wood from steel. I just can't compare the two...

Wood- Beast- The length certainly helps it be my favorite, plus having grown up on it, but its use of the terrain, 4 spactacular tunnels, and that unforgetable helix finale really makes it stand out. Extraordinarly night ride as well.

Steel- Millennium Force- Another lengthy ride, with one of the best first drops ever. Also an amazing sense of speed, a nice flowing course with great overbanks and speed hops. Also love the view of Lake Erie.

well i know people will laugh at me as they always do about this, but i am going to go with Batman: The Dark Knight at SFNE... [;)]

p.s-i know that they renamed it 'batman the ride', but i will forever call it Batman: The Dark Knight because i feel that it was an amazing name and they dont have the right to take it away for some crappy indoor spinner thats not even good...

I cant compare wood and steel so i have a separate for both

wood-
Boulder Dash, Rebel Yell Backwards ((r.i.p.), what a ride, great airtime, low to ground airtime hill after first drop)
ImageImageImageImage

steel-
Superman,Millennium Force,Magnum XL-200(at night when trims are low and it
is out of control feeling).

Once you've been on a certain amount, this turns into a tough question. I'm only 18 so some of the coasters I loved 4 or 5 years ago have been overshadowed by ones I've ridden more recently, but I think I can pretty safely say this is my top 10, in order:

1. El Toro, SFGAdv
2. Millennium Force, CP
3. Nitro, SFGAdv
4. Alpengeist, Busch Gardens
5. Maverick, CP
6. Great Bear, Hersheypark
7. Great White, Morey's Piers (My first real roller coaster! I'm not sure it would be in my top 10 if not for the nostalgic value, but it IS a good ride)
8. Apollo's Chariot- Busch
9. Dueling Dragons (tie between Fire/Ice)- IoA
10. The Beast- Kings Island
Because for the occasion that you are pretty.
