What do you think will be the big new coaster hit in 2006? I have included most of the major new rides, so vote on what you think the best new ride of 2006 will be and then leave a post about why you think your ride will be top of the heap in 2006.[:D]

I think the Voyage just looks amazing. The size, variety and length make this my big hit prediction for 2006.

The Voyage, by a long shot. I get a thrill-gasm just looking at it. But "Black Mamba" and "SpeedMonster" look really fun too. Also, I know that "Kentucky Rumbler" is going to be a good ride even though I'm not too excited about it.

In terms of the number of people hyping the ride, I think Voyage, Tatsu, Black Mamba and Expedition Everest are clearly at the top.

As far as the rides I am looking forwards to, I only have one which is Goliath at La Ronde. Of course, this is the only one that I will get to ride this year.

In my opinion though, all the 2006 coasters should be really great. Two interesting and fun looking GCI's, two fun B&M inverts, two Mcbr'less B&M hypers etc etc

Black Mamba, without question, living (unfortunately) in Europe, I have to choose Black Mamba. A new, minier, tightier Nemesis? Perhaps not, but it looks awesome nonetheless and I can't wait to see it in action.

Goliath at La Ronde, Tatsu, and The Voyage all look great, but I am excited about the flying turns, no extreme heights, but heights dont make the coaster good, and this is a pretty big project sicne the last flying turns closed down in the 60's and we have been without them ever since. I like restoration projects like this.

The Voyage, by a factor of 10. Hades is my #1 coaster out of the 152 I've been on (not that this is a lot), and it isn't even half the ride The Voyage will be. Hades is one of the most underrated coasters on the planet, and I hope The Voyage will get enough attention when it opens if it's anywhere near how amazing it looks to be.

Black Mamba easily, the rest look fairly crappy compared. I'm not a fan of these huge woodies, so until i get to ride some 'The Voyage' doesnt cut it for me. Definitly Black Mamba for me

This was pretty much the first thing I thought after watching the POV of the Voyage. Hades blew me away when I went on it, and Voyage looks like it has exactly the same feel to it, just longer and faster.

Bingo. Minus the fact that Im only at 100 coasters, never been on Hades so I cant comment there either but definatly a factor of 10 or maybe 100.

In order of hype.

Voyage-its under 2 hours from me
Tatsu-something better than S:UF and under 200 hours from me
Goliath SFOG-so far tis trimless and the hills look really peaked

speed monster gets my vote for its fluency and uniqueness. Its a rocket/accelerator coaster that simply sticks out from most of the others. Its up there with stormrunner over at hersheypark with its unique layout. It'll thrill alot of people in norway and people from afar as well, and with all intamin rockets, itll be a forceful yet smooth ride...i dont know...its my favorite ride for 2006. Its got style [:D][;)]

Propably Black mamba or Speed Monster. Black Mamba just looks amazing, and with Nemesis being my favourit coaster its a good chance I'm gonna love Black Mamba. And Speed Monster since its only an hour away.

But there is some other amazing coasters too. I'm very exited about Tatsu. I've always wanted to see more of the flying coaster (I actually enjoyed Air), and its a good chance I'm get to ride it this year. The Voyage looks like Hades on steroids, and is propably gonna be one of the best woodies ever built. I'm realy exited about El Toro too. Balder is an amazing ride, and I love too see more of this Intamin woodies. Thunderbird and Kentucky Rumbler both looks very good, especially Thunderbird which I'm going to ride next year[:)]

i'm saying Goliath by the simple fact it'll probably be the only new coaster i ride this season. the voyage looks great though, i expect to get up there sometime, what with family in chicago and indianapolis.

I say Black Mamba because, its the most unique one. All the other ones just seem like they took a standard coaster and added one or 2 extra elements to it and are trying to over hype it. NOT SAYING THEY ARE BAD CONCEPTS OR ARE GONNA SUCK OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, like im happy the southeast is finally getting a hypercoaster (Goliath at SFoG) and I love wooden coasters so Voyage and Toro sound like winners to me also. But Black Mamba looks like they took the extra steps to make it all their own and hard to imitate (only 2 to date, Nemesis and Black M) contrary to all the available hardcore wooden coasters and Goliaths available out there. If I had the oppurt i'd ride them all of course.

#1:Voyage
#2:Black Mamba
#3:Expedition Everest

The Voyage just goes without saying[:p]. Black Mamba looks like the best themed B+M since Dueling Dragons. Expedition Everest has some pretty sick themeing going on too.
