Fillings

Hey all, today I went to the dentist and I got my first filling. It wasn't a cavity but it was just a deformed tooth. Anyway, they put this numbing cream on my gums and I licked it and then my tongue got numb. But, later, he gave me a shot and I didn't feel it. After that, he took this thing and drilled a hole in my tooth for the filling. Then he put the filling in and got this thing that vibrated really quick and said, this thing is wat scares the hel1 out of ppl. He took the thing and packed the filling in then scraped it. It didn't hurt at all, but after, when my mouth was numb i tried to drink and my mouth was so numb it spille out of my mouth! Well, that's my story of getting a filling.

P.S. I'm getting my braces off this summer or when the next school year starts (9th grade) yes, i am young. My teeth are now pretty much strait and I just gotta keep wearing 'em so they'll stay that way. Also, i'm wearing rubber bands now. [xx(]

lol, i never had a vibrating thing for my fillings! i've had i dunno... 8 cavities? and getting my teeth drilled is fun! they start out with that really gross numbing stuff that tastes horrible, then the shot.. wich surprisingly doesnt hurt, but it still scares me because of the thought of a needle in the mouth. and then the drilling! yay! i like the big drills better than the small ones. the vibrating in my head fels simmilar to the mind eraser at sfne lol. thats why i like getting my teeth drilled lol. one time, my dentist found another small cavity while drilling and said "ok, this tooth isnt numb but bear with me!" it was scary at first but that tooth was the best!

piff, i remeber when i had both my canine teeth removed at the dentist. I thought id have both done as i didnt want to go back. So the ol dentist chapy gets this werd rounded needle to numb to gum and then sticks it between your tooth and gum which hurts quite alot. Then he literaly got a pair of plyers grab hold of my teeth and then ripped them out. The worst thing was, was that you could here it snapping in your mouth. Then blood just started pouring into my mouth which tasted so bad and i had to swallow my own blood...which was nice

im getting my braces off, in like 1 week and im going into 9th grade next yr too!

Heh, yeah I have never had any cavities, but I had to get my wisdom teeth removed. It was all numbed up, but it was still very unpleasant with the pliers and the cracking and snapping that The Edge mentioned... I used to have dreams of my teeth breaking apart, and it was just like that [:(]. It was validating, and yet very traumatizing at the same time.[xx(]

I found out i had 3 cavities when i whent to get my teeth cleaned.[:(] I have to get them done sometime next week or the week after. Im 17 and in 11th but i guess thats not bad. I think im getting some wisdom teeth in too. So they put numbing cream on first then the needle, then the drilling and the filling. sounds fun.

It doesn't hurt at all, unless they don't give you a shot. Also, the same day my twin sister went to get an impression of her teeth for her reatainers. Well, she was in there and had not problem with the bottom ones, but when he put it in the top it went down her throat and she started gagging and our dentist/orthadontist said (please excuse my language) Dam it! If you try and throw up on me like the last kid i'll shove my foot up your ass! When she told me I couldn't stop laughing!
